The Blonde Bombshells...Part One.

The blonde Sasha dolls have to be my favourite, or at least going by how many of them that live here at Rose Cottage, that MUST be the case.  Over the years I have ended up with a lovely collection of beautiful dolls.  Continuing with my theme of re-introducing them, (having started with The Gotz Gang a month ago), there will be three posts over the next three days featuring the Trendon Blonde Bombshells of Rose Cottage!

Sasha was my first Sasha doll, hence her name!  She left me for a year or so, but then I saw her up for sale again (actually she was sold on not long after I originally sold, her but at that stage I couldn't get her back) and just had to have her back so she didn't have to keep moving home. She is a member of the 'Rose Hip Chicks' who performed at the Summer Music Festival last year.

She has a blue neck ring which dates her to around 1974 by my understanding and came wearing a blue gingham dress.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Little Sally came to live with me in 2011 from Ted Menton in the USA.  She is from 1972 and has the lovely wide face.  She too came wearing her blue gingham dress.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Stevie has had an adventure with someone else as well...she came to live with me in 2011 and was dressed in a Blue Cord dress.  She is I believe from around the early seventies as well, certainly before 1974.  I originally called her Serena due to her lovely serene expression, but when she went to live with my friend Jocelyn, she changed her name to Stevie, and it only seemed right that she kept this name.  She especially loves the colour purple, although isn't overly keen on dresses.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Susan is a 'Sweater Girl' from 1982/83.  She came from Suzanna Lewis in the USA.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Now Sophia has to be one of my prettiest Sasha dolls.  She has the lovely wide face and is from about 1971 I would guess.  She has been with me since 2014 I think it is.  She is definitely a model in her own right and modelled a lot of the clothes that were given as a donation to the 2015 Sasha Festival by Trish.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sarah is a beautiful NP Sasha from 1967.  She has also been with me since 2014 I think.  I really need to check dates!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

These six girls all appeared on my Doll and Bear ABC Challenge page. I  am all over the place with this having got behind!

S is for....

Sally, Sasha, Sophia, Stevie, Sarah & Susan, Six Splendid Sasha Sweethearts in their Smocked Summer Dresses Standing in the Sunshine on a Sunday.

All the dresses are made by my friend Kath Barnett of Australia.

    1. Thank you! Part of the theory behind reposting about my dolls is to see if there are any I can part with...so far I can't!

    2. Loved this post and finding out more about your blond girls. I can't imagine parting with any of these lovely ladies. And anyway, it sounds like they will just come back again!

    3. Glad you enjoyed the post Steve...I usually like to write story posts, but felt the Sasha girls were getting neglected of late, so what better to do than 'revisit' them.

  2. The blondes are all lovely, I read part 2 as well and look forward to part 3 :-). Susan the Sweater Girl from the other post is very cute, isn't he the only one with short hair ever produced? (I think I read that somewhere.)

    1. Hi Susi, thank you for visiting and leaving a comment :-) Yes you are right the Sweater Girl was the only one with short hair to be produced by Trendon. Gotz did produce a 'unisex' doll in the earlier production and you can find those sometimes. I think Susan is cute as well...she looks quite good in 'mod' dresses.

  3. Thinking that I'm doing this viewing all the wrong way round since I seem to be seeing/reading your recent posts backwards...( as well as also viewing other's posts on the same theme.) Think that my head might be SPINNING!
    Super idea to have decided to name these six blonde girls with the first letter 'S' after your first doll... who you naturally called Sasha.
    Good to think that they are all being treated equally here and so all wearing Kath Barnette's beautifully smocked dresses on the Summer's day.
    I'm particularly attracted here to your NP, Sarah and the two wider faced girls, Sally and Sophia. Nice to see your Sweater girl, Susan, holding her own well amongst the longer haired sisters. She has a particularly sweet face.
    I think that I can remember a few years ago trying to help you downsize these girls on their looks alone and this might have been why your first Sasha girl got regretfully adopted out...with me not knowing enough about their little characters...(but luckily this mistake has been recently rectified so hopefully everyone's happy again.)

    1. That is the problem with the way blogger works...you end up reading the newer posts first and go backwards! But thank you for keeping on reading :) It is always nice to have comments as they encourage you.

      Love Kath's dresses. I think I actually have enough smocked dresses for all my blonde girls! I might be a couple of dresses short.

      I think Susan has a particularly sweet face. She has been with me pretty much from the 'beginning' as well.

      As for the adopting out of Sasha's how does one really choose who is to stay and who is to go - it is a difficult decision. I think I have only properly regretted selling three dolls, two of which I have managed to get back. The third was a boy, and in hindsight I really wish I hadn't sold him as he had special meaning attached to him to, but at the time it seemed the right thing to do. I wouldn't even know where he is now!
