St Patrick's Day Preparation - Part Two

Lewis and Henry have also changed into some green clothing in preparation for St Patrick's Day.

Lewis is a 16/403 model Schoenhut boy.

Henry is of course a Gregor Doll

Lewis is wearing socks, shorts, tank top/vest and hat made by me, his shirt is made by Ginny on Etsy.
Henry is wearing his 'travelling' clothes that he would normally wear when flying to New Zealand each year and he has also worn them when flying to the USA for the Sasha Festivals in the past.  His green shirt is the one he arrived in, and it is his favourite, and his trousers were made by me and are a comfortable fleece fabric.

Love these two boys.

Doesn't he look so much like a real child?

St Patrick's Day Preparation - Part One

Three of the girls have started getting ready for St Patrick's Day by dressing in green.

Mary Ellen & Amber

Mary Ellen is a 1969 Dungarees Sasha by Trendon and she is wearing a smocked gingham dress.

Amber is one of the first Sasha dolls I got, and she came from Shelly of SashaDollsUK which is now sadly closed down.   Amber is a Large Head Yellow Eyed Pony Tail Gotz Sasha from the 1960s and she is wearing a smocked green dress.

Peggy Sue is wearing a party dress I made for her one year, I believe for her birthday party.

Peggy Sue is a Schoenhut Miss Dolly who was in a bad state of over paint and has been stripped back to her bare wood.

Shall we have a Valentine's Day Party?

We should have a Valentine's Day Party.  Ziva suggests to the other girls

We could, replies Cora, but the trouble is Mum says she doesn't know where all the decorations are.

We could make our own.  Ziva  suggests.

Or we could try and find them Cora says.

As long as we don't make a mess Mum says.  Peggy Sue tells the girls.  Apparently she is soooo busy this week trying to tidy up everything and get things ready for her trip to NZ next week.

I might know where they are.  Emily tells them.  Shall I go and have a look.

Please do!  The girls tell her.

Thankful Thursday

The other day whilst browsing through some of my old posts I came across this photo of Weaver taken in 2013:

I wrote this about her on FB that same day:
I've had this gorgeous girl up for sale since I think around September time last year and despite being negotiable there has been no interest in her...seeing this photo that I stumbled on today while looking for some 'hat' photos I really can't understand why, she is stunning! I think she might just have to stay!

Anyway I decided to give her a freshen up, and redress her in that gorgeous pink dress and add the charming jacket that goes with it so beautifully.

Looking a little pensive

I am thankful that I have such beautiful dolls.

Trendon Babies on Thursday

I re-introduced my Gotz babies in the 'The Gotz Gang' post, but haven't yet re-introduced the Trendon babies so thought I would do so here, as they don't often get the attention that my other dolls do.

I have five Trendon babies three of whom have been with me since 2011, one since 2012 and lastly one arriving in 2015.

Baby Alfie has been with me since 2011.  He is an early sexed baby boy with raised eyelids.  Alfie is wearing an outfit I knitted him.  Babies in the first five years of production (1970 - 75) had raised or moulded eyelids.

Amelia has also been with me since 2011 and is an early sexed baby girl with raised eyelids.  Amelia is wearing her little Festival outfit gift we were sent this year.

Baby Grace is another early sexed baby with raised eyelids.  She has a very tight head of curls.  Grace is wearing an outfit we got at last years Festival I think it was.  She would originally have come in a 'White Suit' and dates from 1972 - 75.

Baby Ginger George is one of my 'Sailor Gang' .  He is from 1985 - 86.

This scally-wag gave poor Peggy Sue the runaround when he first arrived in 2015, and has continued to do so ever since...rarely seen with clothes on, his name is Baby Barney Bam-Bam, or often simply just 'Baby'.  He is an early sexed baby boy with raised eyelids.

The babies very much like their Winnie The Pooh toys, playing with the beads and on the rocking horse.  As you can see Baby B BB has clothes on here, a little romper suit that I knitted him...but for how long who knows!

Accident and Emergency?

Tragedy struck Emily while she was out today visiting friends...

There has been much wailing, sobbing and crying and Henry is trying his best to console her.

There there Emily, I am sure we will be able to find someone who can fix you....  Henry murmurs as she sobs on his shoulder.

But I'll need a specialist, she wails...  and it HURTS....

I am sure it does, but I am sure we can sort you out... Henry tries to reassure her.

Poor Emily and poor Henry, who is worried as it is not a simple case of just 'hooking the arm back on'  He has seen the inside of her arm and quite frankly he felt all queasy and faint...but didn't want Emily to know and so has put on a brave face for her.

The Blonde Bombshells - Part Three

The final part of my 'Blonde Bombshells' posts.

Charlotte is one of the three dolls that my husband bought me when we went to visit Shelly or Sasha Doll UK back in 2011.  She is my 'mini me' and wearing a dress I made for the 'Dress A Sasha' competition at the 2013 Sasha Festival

Harlequin 184A  is one of six Limited Edition dolls produced by Trendon.  She is from 1984 and again has been with me several years now.

Pintucks 182A is one of my favourite Limited Edition dolls made in 1982.  I had to get this lovely lady after Henry hosted 'Pinny' back in 2013.  You can see her holiday here:  Holidays with Henry

My last blonde Sasha is another Limited Edition doll 'Princess Sasha' 186A of which she is no. 28 of only 350 produced in 1986 as the factory was closing.  She was meant to be the sister to the Prince. She has a human hair wig.  I have taken two rather unflattering pictures of her as she is Mint in Box, and I am too scared to take her out - most unlike me, my dolls get played with generally.  However, I bought her a few years ago now from Brenda Walton brand new and as such wanted to keep her this way.

I took these two pictures with my little handheld camera and for some reason it seems to distort the faces of the dolls somehow.  But it was what I had to hand to add this girl to this post as I didn't want to take her outside to photograph.

I hope you have enjoyed my series of posts featuring my blonde girls.
