Thankful Thursday

The other day whilst browsing through some of my old posts I came across this photo of Weaver taken in 2013:

I wrote this about her on FB that same day:

I've had this gorgeous girl up for sale since I think around September time last year and despite being negotiable there has been no interest in her...seeing this photo that I stumbled on today while looking for some 'hat' photos I really can't understand why, she is stunning! I think she might just have to stay!

Anyway I decided to give her a freshen up, and redress her in that gorgeous pink dress and add the charming jacket that goes with it so beautifully.

I am thankful that I have such beautiful dolls.  

Thankful Thursday!

Madeline is extremely thankful for now having a toilet...there are several reasons for this.

She can now relieve herself when necessary.

It is amazing how we can take this function for granted.

She is thankful for its flush facility.

She washes her hands after using the toilet.

Another reason she is thankful for having the toilet is that she can now stock up on food!

Why food you may ask?

Well it is a known fact that 'what goes in, usually comes out'  so she has been unable to eat so far, or at least not very often for fear of not being able to use the bathroom!

She can't wait to stock up her fridge with lots of lovely goodies.

Of course having a stocked fridge will also mean she can entertain more.

Madeline loves to have friends come to visit

She has a new friend and looks forward to spending some time with her.

They were very thankful they could get out in the garden today.

The sun was shining and the sky was blue, which always makes everything seem so much brighter.

Much to be thankful for.

Madeline was seen in the garden collecting some flowers.

She has a sweet bunch of Forget Me Nots

She takes them inside to put in a little glass vase

There, they brighten up the place.

Little things to be thankful for are the flowers that grow in the garden.

Thankful for the lovely weather we are having.

  Another bright sunny day dawned today and Alice and Weaver were out earlier in the garden - good thing they can't feel the cold!

They both chose pretty smocked yellow dresses to wear.

Alice found matching shoes for them both as well.

These lovely smocked dresses were made by Kath Barnett, a fellow Kiwi who lives in Australia.

You can't help but feel cheerful wearing yellow!

Helene, my crochet doll made by a friend in the USA is thankful for the apple blossom.

Plus the lush green growth around the pond.

Madeline is thankful for her 'new' green shoes, thanks to a charity shop porcelain doll who had no choice  let Madeline have them.  Madeline declares them a perfect fit and very comfortable.

Little Miss is thankful she has a special friend just like her and was even more thankful that she came to play today.

They were also thankful that the day was nice and they could go out into the garden.
