The Blonde Bombshells - Part Two

The first three 'Blonde Bombshells' to be introduced today are all wearing dresses designed and made by myself back in 2012.  (Actually the vibrant one may have been made a bit later).  They are made with New Zealand fabrics that I brought back with me after visiting my parents.

Everlee Rose Morgan is my 'newest' Sasha girl in terms of how long she has lived here.  She used to belong to a friend of mine and when she decided she wanted to sell her....well it would have been 'rude' not to!  She, like my original Sasha, is a 1974 Pumpkin String girl.  This girl has amazingly soft hair.

Weaver is a tiny eyed blonde side part girl from 1969 and has been with me since 2013

Alice my sweet full centre part girl has also been with me since 2012.   She is 1969 Kilt girl.

My gorgeous Meredith is a 1966/7 NP I wrote about her here:  The Delectable Meredith

Jane is a lovely 1971 Blonde Gingham girl.  I think she has been with me since around 2014.

You could be forgiven for thinking this is Jane, it isn't, it is Victoria who is also a 1971 Blue Gingham girl who arrived to me back in 2012 Mint in Tube - she still smells brand new!

  1. Meredith is truly a dream and it was wonderful to read more about her. They're all really very lovely. I think Trendon did a beautiful job painting the eyes of the early 1970s dolls - so soft and dreamy. I love the fabric of Alice's dress.

    1. Meredith is indeed a dream and was my dream Sasha so I feel very lucky to have her. I just love the early 70s dolls especially though, there is as you say something soft and dreamy about them. I love the fabric of Alice's batik NZ dress as well...I made several of these in different colours and themes.

  2. Six BLONDE early Frido/Trendon girls... BUT oh just how different they all are. Though having said this it would be hard to pick a favourite as each and everyone seems to have developed an individual facial personality.
In my early to mid Sasha collecting I was trying to find a theme for my Sasha collection and one of the ideas that came up was only collecting the Gingham Dressed girls but then, not realising their distinctive differences I 'Poo-pooed' the idea thinking that it might be too boring. I live and learn!

Meredith, rather steals the show here with her assured good looks and untamed long flowing hair style.
I love Victoria's wider face and Jane's sparkling eyes.
Alice has that well known 'get up and go look' that the Kilt girls seem to have.
Weaver has the desirable 'tiny' eyes and side-part whilst your latest adoptee Everlee Rose Morgan has the distinctive look of the Pumpkin girls with their wider, larger eyes that many collectors go for.
    Thanks for a great post.

    1. It is amazing just how different these girls can be isn't it? They all have something to add character wise. One of my favourite pictures of Meredith though will always be of her pushing your wonderful pram back in 2012 against one of your new backdrops you had just got. It was such a special day and visit and the memory of which I will always treasure.

I still need to take a picture of Sasha and Everlee Rose side by side... although they are similar and the same year, they are also quite different.

Glad you enjoyed the post :)
