Yesterday afternoon Lewis went on his first outing.
We took him to Wrest Park, quite a few of the 'children' have been there now and it is always a lovely place to visit and wander round during the seasons.
He was quite stunned by the marigolds
and had to take a seat to admire them for a while. He said they were 'sunshine' flowers.
Lewis enjoyed walking round this first garden beside the grand house.
Later on he discovered a well photographed spot. Several of us in the family have had our photo taken sitting here.
Best of all he loved balancing and walking along this fallen tree trunk.
'Look at me!'
He was quite expert at this!
Taking time out to just sit and look at the view.
One last explore before we headed home.
Having recently visited Wrest Park (actually, it was Easter time, where has the time flown?) I can now picture these locations 'in the round'. Lewis certainly seems to be enjoying exploring the park and playing on the logs! Good to see all the flowers in bloom, when we were there the Judas trees were looking good however the flowers were just starting out.
ReplyDeleteWe always enjoy our walks around Wrest Park. Seeing the different plants in bloom, and just enjoying the peace of it - we always go for a walk round the outskirts away from where most people gather.
DeleteI really must get around to taking Ezri and Ayza somewhere. I have ideas for the girls, but never seem to know how to put them into practice. We have quite a few English Heritage and Heritage House places near us, but never go to them :( I need a boot up the jacksie and get doing something! :) x
ReplyDeleteYes you must take Ezri and Ayza to some of the English Heritage places near you - they are great places to photograph the dolls.
DeleteBeautiful photos! I especially like the ones of Lewis with the 'sunshine flowers'. He's a cutie! How are you liking the new camera?
ReplyDeleteSteve
I am enjoying the ease of a little camera - so much lighter to carry round with me. I still prefer my canon for the more portrait shots of the dolls, as sometimes the smaller cameras don't seem to capture the shape of their faces properly. But otherwise I am extremely pleased with it. I have managed to get some great macro shots!
DeleteThat is one awesome dragon in your first picture! And the marigolds are almost as tall as Lewis :-) What a lovely visit you had, Lorraine.
ReplyDeletewarmly,
Beth
The marigolds are gorgeous aren't they? I have a few in my garden and just love them.
DeleteHope that 'Dear' Henry wasn't too disappointed at not going along too!
ReplyDeleteNo, fortunately Henry has been to Wrest Park many times, both on his own, and with visitors who have holidayed with him.
