Hi Peggy Sue, what is the matter with you? Rory asks.
I've hurt my neck. Peggy Sue replies.
How did you do that? Rory asks.
Well....Peggy Sue begins. I think it was from using the microscope.
How could a microscope hurt your neck? Rory asks as he bends over to have a look at Peggy Sue's neck. Let me see.
It's okay Rory. This heat pack is working.
Does it need heating up again? Rory asks thoughtfully.
No it will be just fine thank you Rory. Peggy Sue tells him.
I'll go and find Henry. Rory says as he walks off. I am sure he will know what to do.
Um...no...don't tell Henry... Peggy Sue splutters with a rather concerned look on her face as she thinks if Henry finds out she has a sore neck it will be a case of 'I told you so'.
Aww, I hope Peggy Sue feels better soon. (What an adorable heating pillow!)
ReplyDeleteShe is already starting to feel better thank you :-) I can see I will have to make some more of these little heated pillows though as she has been telling her friends how good they are!
Deleteoh, dear, Peggy Sue, I was afraid that would happen. Good thing you have a heat pack for your neck; that will help. Consider it a lesson learned and now you know better. That is how life goes...
ReplyDeleteYes, I think she may well have learned her lesson...she also now knows what a sore neck and shoulders feel like!
DeleteI know, from my own experience, that those 'dry-heat' heated pads do, DO the world of good, so all should be well soon and she'll be back on that microscope in next to no time.
ReplyDeleteThey certainly do don't they Kendal...even if it is partly a placebo effect, the warmth seems to make the muscles relax and helps to ease the pain.
DeleteI'm glad to read that Peggy Sue is already starting to feel better! The heat pack is adorable :-). It's very sweet of Rory to be so concerned.
ReplyDeleteOh dear me. Poor Peggy Sue. It's hard having someone say "I told you so." Hopefully Henry won't say it, even if he thinks it.
