A Pie-Rat Play Date

It has been a long time since we have had a Sasha 'Play Date' with another Sasha friend.  This week there was much excitement among the Rose Cottage Friends as they had been invited to go and see

It seems someone else was excited as well.  Yes that is Captain Fred-Eric

Henry meets the Captain who gives him a little gift.

Henry is thrilled and thanks him.

Henry shows his puzzle and stickers.  Of course if features a pirate!

Thank you for the puzzle and stickers Captain FredEric

They have a little chat.  There was lots of Pirate (or Pie Rat) speak going on!

The two proud Pirates pose together and Henry was allowed to wear FredEric's pirate hat.

I think they are going to be good friends!

The rest of the gang enjoyed having a good ol' natter and play together.

Peggy Sue attended as well, but she was engaged with our host - they seemed to really hit it off together and I forgot to take a photo!

All good fun for sure.

Thank you for a lovely morning.

A Sasha Morning - Sasha Girls.

I've spent a few hours with the Sasha girls today.  Helping them decide what they want to wear, and what their various roles are.  Some of the girls will remain 'in character' and others will take part in more day to day life/active roles.

The Rose Hip Chicks have two new members.  Molly and Stevie left the group as they couldn't stand the hectic schedule they were leading, and so Cora and Ziva have joined the group...they are currently on trial to see how they get on. (Previously seen at the Music Festival here:  A Summer Music Festival)

They just need to sort out their instruments now...although primarily a vocal group, they do like to add a bit of instrumentation or percussion to their sound.

Emily is wearing one of her favourite dresses she got at one of the USA Sasha Festivals.  I see she has her hand caught in the ribbon in these two photos!  Molly, who found music life most stressful in part due to her age, is relieved to not be in the limelight and has happily chosen one of the first dresses I made to wear.  It is always a firm favourite amongst the girls.

Charlotte and Erica Michelle, represent Mini Me and my Sister in dresses I modelled on identical dresses my mother made for my sister and I in the very early seventies.   I made these for one of the Sasha Festival Dress a Sasha competitions.

Sally is wearing one of the school uniforms I made for the first Sasha Festival I went to in the UK at Stratford Upon Avon in 2012.

Alice is wearing one of the farm girl outfits I made quite a few years ago now.

Stevie, also relieved not to be involved in the band (despite her namesake!) has gone back to wearing her beloved favourite outfit.  Can you tell she likes shades of purple?!

Sophia is my model, and is currently just wearing a sensible warm dress.

Everlee Rose, who is one of the girls who will be playing a more active role in Rose Cottage Life, is wearing a jumper/sweater I knitted a few years ago and a skirt that we got from one of the Sasha events in the UK.

Summer, ever hopeful that the season summer is approaching (despite the weather!) is wearing a New Zealand themed dress I made featuring Kowhai flowers.

They've now gone back on their shelves.

Not the best photos, I might try with my other camera later, and if better, will replace these photos.

Blue Monday

There was lots of 'blue' today, we had quite the gathering of Sasha boys and girls dressed in blue,  but the one featured today is little Bonnie, who was given a new outfit by DollMum and her daughter.

She is showing how well she can walk on her own.

There are not so many Forget me nots left, so I should have perhaps photographed several dolls in one day, not one doll a day!  Oh well, never mind.

Advent 2017 - Day Twenty Four: Christmas Eve.

I think you should open the Calendar today Peggy Sue.  Henry tells her.

Oh are you sure?  Peggy Sue asks.

Absolutely.  Henry replies.

Peggy Sue looks for the final door.

It is in this top corner. She says.

Peggy Sue opens the door.

Goodness, I wonder what this is?  Peggy Sue says.

Oh open it please Peggy Sue.  I can't stand the suspense!  Henry tells her.

Oh my goodness!  Peggy Sue gasps.

Look, it is a ghost pirate!

I think he must go down here.  Peggy Sue says as she puts him on the rocks in front of the cave.

The scene is complete!  The pirate actually glows....IF we had known we needed to triple A batteries.  So we will have to show that after Christmas now!

The gang wish you a very Merry Christmas!

Advent 2017 - Day Thirteen...oops...to Seventeen!

A few days ago.... all was quiet in the house...nothing could be heard...but wait...is there a mouse?

No...that is something else you hear....

Looks like Ollie and Baby Barney Bam Bam have discovered the Advent Calendar.

Look it is waiting just for us to open Baby Bees.  Ollie says.

They pull the Advent Calendar down so they can access it...

Much giggling and chatting is going on that only they can understand.

Uh oh...looks like trouble!

It seems they have been opening LOTS of doors on the calendar and pulling out the gifts.

Look!  Babbles Baby

Fun!  Ollie says with glee.

Peggy Sue was just about off out but could hear lots of rustling and other such noises so thought she ought to investigate.

Not what she expected to see!

Oh you naughty boys!  She exclaims.

They look up at her, a picture of innocence...or not...

What have you done?  She asks.  You are not supposed to open all the doors, what will the boys say?

Let me take off my hat and coat, I can see I am going to have to sort this mess out!

Ollie and Baby look up at her with puzzled looks on their faces.

They look at each other.

Come on you two, you are going to have to help me.  Peggy Sue says to them.

Peggy Sue helps Baby down.

Now you two, do you realise what you  have done?

We were just having fun.  Ollie tells her.

I can see that!  Peggy Sue says.

Now help me up with it.

The boys help her put the calendar back up.

She puts on her stern voice, and explains why they are naughty.

When they look suitable chastised, she explains they will need to put the items on the scene.

Hopefully the boys won't notice, or be too upset...she says doubtfully.

Quite a few new things have been added.  Still at least they will have fun discovering the new items, even if they didn't get to open the doors.

What ARE you doing Baby Bs?  Peggy Sue asks.  Where is your other bootie?  It should be on your feet, not your hands!

Come on, stop messing around!

Oh dear Ollie, let's pull your trousers up.  Peggy Sue says when she realises Ollie's trousers had slipped down somewhat.

Right, I suggest we get out of here.  Baby, you wait here while I take Ollie to his room, I will be back for you.

Smoochy smoochy....

You won't get round me so easily young man with your smoochy kisses.  Peggy Sue says.

But then again...perhaps he will!
