H & G Goodies

Some of the gang wanted to show off some of the goodies we got at the Haggle and Gaggle on Saturday.

From left to right:

Peggy Sue nabbed the tights that were in our goodie bag as she is a tight/stocking loving girl  She hates to be cold in winter.

She loves the stripes!

Henry shows off his new boots made by Rosie Bloomfield

They match his jumper/sweater perfectly.

Molly claimed the little skirt that was in our goodie bag and teamed it with the cardigan I won in the raffle.

Donny tried on the third raffle prize outfit I won.  He thinks he might let one of the girls have the cardigan as it does up the 'girls way' and he prefers slightly darker colours, although I said it matched the outfit beautifully.  These boys can be quite particular!  It is usually Pierre who is the most 'pedantic' but looks like this has rubbed off on Donny too.

I don't know who made/donated the raffle prizes I won - the striped cardigan Molly is wearing looks like the type that Thelma makes.   But a thank you to whomever donated them.  We are very pleased with our raffle wins and of course the wonderful 'goodie bag' gifts.

The only outfit not tried on yet is the 'Deer stalker' jacket and cap...but that is for another time.

Advent 2017 - Day Twenty Four: Christmas Eve.

I think you should open the Calendar today Peggy Sue.  Henry tells her.

Oh are you sure?  Peggy Sue asks.

Absolutely.  Henry replies.

Peggy Sue looks for the final door.

It is in this top corner. She says.

Peggy Sue opens the door.

Goodness, I wonder what this is?  Peggy Sue says.

Oh open it please Peggy Sue.  I can't stand the suspense!  Henry tells her.

Oh my goodness!  Peggy Sue gasps.

Look, it is a ghost pirate!

I think he must go down here.  Peggy Sue says as she puts him on the rocks in front of the cave.

The scene is complete!  The pirate actually glows....IF we had known we needed to triple A batteries.  So we will have to show that after Christmas now!

Advent 2017 - Day Twenty One

I am going to open the Advent Calendar today.  Says James in a very authoritative voice.

Sure of course you can.  Connor says.  

Donny doesn't dare argue with the twins, so is just happy to watch.

Hmmm....now where is it?  James says.

Aha, here it is up here.  He reaches up and opens the door.

It looks like he will need two hands for today's gift.

A treasure chest!  He shows the boys.

Looks better now the lid is on it.  Donny remarks.

James and Connor agree with him.

It can go down here.  He says as he puts it down.

Uh oh, looks like the snake has made itself a new home!

Advent 2017 - Day Nineteen

The boys made sure they were up bright and early this morning to avoid any more mishaps with the opening of the Advent calendar.

Caleb is excited about getting to open the door again.

It doesn't take long to find door number nineteen.

He sits down with the little package with the boys looking on eagerly.

Well open it then.  Donny says.

I will...you made us wait yesterday.  Caleb replies.  I want to savour the moment as well!

Oh, little weapons.

This Pirate is building up quite the weapon store!  

He must be preparing for a battle perhaps?

I'm going to put them down here for now.  Caleb tells the boys.

Woe betide anyone who tries to invade the island!

Advent 2017 - Day Eighteen

Donny is looking at the Pirate scene...something is wrong!

Ah yes...I have to tell you about this.  Henry says.

What?  Caleb asks.

Well it seems Peggy Sue discovered the littlies had been getting a bit carried away with opening the doors.  Henry tells them.

What do you mean?  Donny says waving his arms in horror.  It was MY turn to open the doors - it has all gone wrong!

There there, never mind, you can still open the door today.  Henry reassures him.  

See if you can find door number eighteen.

Donny looks.

It is down here.  He says as he gets down on the floor to open it.

Well what do you have?  Henry asks.

Give me a chance.  Donny says.  I want to savour the moment, in case those rascals spoil it.

They won't spoil it.  Caleb says.  They just didn't understand.

Reassured, Donny opens his little package and finds a skull and some other bits and pieces.

He puts them together.

It is a skull on a pole.  He tells them.  Perhaps to warn off intruders.
