A Puppet Show

On the Schoenhut Cafe we are having a little August photo competition...it can be summer themed, or winter depending on what part of the hemisphere you live!  I wanted to do a summer theme, but August hasn't quite been as conducive as I had hoped weather wise, but today I managed to take a few photos of the Schoenhut children watching a puppet show.

Peggy Sue presents a puppet show for the children

She tells the story....

They all watch intently

completely enthralled by the show.

Rebekah Grace gasps with excitment

A great way to enjoy a bank holiday Monday afternoon.

Advent 2017 - Day Twenty Four: Christmas Eve.

I think you should open the Calendar today Peggy Sue.  Henry tells her.

Oh are you sure?  Peggy Sue asks.

Absolutely.  Henry replies.

Peggy Sue looks for the final door.

It is in this top corner. She says.

Peggy Sue opens the door.

Goodness, I wonder what this is?  Peggy Sue says.

Oh open it please Peggy Sue.  I can't stand the suspense!  Henry tells her.

Oh my goodness!  Peggy Sue gasps.

Look, it is a ghost pirate!

I think he must go down here.  Peggy Sue says as she puts him on the rocks in front of the cave.

The scene is complete!  The pirate actually glows....IF we had known we needed to triple A batteries.  So we will have to show that after Christmas now!

The gang wish you a very Merry Christmas!

Advent 2017 - Day Twenty Three

Hi Henry, can little Oliver William open the Calendar today please?  Lewis asks Henry.

Of course he can.  Henry replies.

Here you go Oliver William.  Henry says as he holds his arm around little Oliver's shoulders.  Do you know what to do?

Oliver William does indeed and is delighted to find a very large door to open for today.

Wow, just look at the size of these double doors.  He exclaims as he opens them.

He pulls out the little gift while the boys watch.

It is like a magic rock.  He tells them.  It has a button on it.

I wonder what that is for?  Henry says.

I'm going to put it here at the entrance of the cave.  Oliver William tells them.

This is just where it is supposed to be.

It was THIS big!  He tells Lewis.

It WAS Henry.  I'm going to tell the other boys how big my gift was...

and off he toddles.
