Getting Ready for Valentine's Day.

Clara and Peggy Sue are excited about Valentine's Day and wonder if they will be lucky enough to get some Valentine Cards.  They have both changed into pretty pink dresses.  They are planning to make some cards themselves and some decorations.

Clara

Sweet Peggy Sue

They wanted a photo of them both standing to attention...haha

Sweet girls.

They are joined by Clementine who is wearing a dress and cardigan that Peggy Sue has let her borrow.

Such a pretty girl too.

Also dressed in pink are some of the Sasha girls.  Their post can be seen on my Sasha Haven blog.

Clara, Clare, Camille & Chloe

Here we have a line up of my Corolle Les Cheries dolls.

In order that I got them, from left to right: Clara, Clare, Camille and Chloe

Clara is wearing a Les Cherie outfit which is beautifully made and fits her so well.  The other three girls are wearing Glitter Girl outfits.

Some face shots:

I love Chloe's delicate features and little freckles.

Clare has different freckles and quite a different look I think, a bit more cheeky.

Camille

and Chloe.

They hang out with a coupe of my American Girl dolls.

Here they are with Oona Faith my Paola Reina doll

Below is a picture of my original Chloe whom I sold a few years ago.

She came in a pretty little ballerina outfit.  She was actually really photogenic, and had an adorable tilt of her head in some positions as shown below in these photos also taken in 2012.

Such a shame they are no longer producing these sweet little dolls.

New Dresses and Comparisons.

It is easy to see which colours are going to suit Oona Faith well.

She likes her new unicorn dress, just like many little girls probably would.

As promised, now for some comparison photos.

My Les Cheries Corolle Doll Clara,  with Paola Reina Doll, Oona Faith.

Clara's feet are slight longer than Oona Faith's feet.

Behind photo, which shows the difference in colour of their 'skin'.

Front photo, I think the Paola Reina doll has more pronounced 'features' such as her knees and little toe nails.  Interestingly the Paola Reina dolls have changed a bit since my original one that I bought in 2013 - picture shown below of a comparison photo I took then.

You can see the Paola Reina doll then was quite a bit shorter than the Les Cheries Corolle doll, plus she used to have a much more pronounced belly button.

I put a dress on Oona Faith, that I made back in 2013, it suits her really well.

This photo I took in 2013 when Clara was wearing it, and for some more comparisons I have posted another couple of photos of the dress being worn in 2013 by:

Cristi as she was called.

and my Sasha toddler.

I love it when you can make an outfit that fits more than one doll!

Blue Monday

Blue Monday is brought to you by the delightful Clara my 16/301 Schoenhut.

She was out early hoping for a blue sky and she got one!

We have had the most delightful day.

I do think though she needs to swap her ribbon for a blue one, but she insisted on keeping the red one for now!

Christmas 2018 - The Displays.

I will do a photo with all the Sasha girls together before they change out of the their Christmas clothes...but they will stay in situ until the 12th Day.  In the meantime I thought I would post a few photos of the various Christmas displays and decorations we have out this year.  After a very  minimalist Christmas last year, I went completely overboard this year!

The Sasha girls adorned the dresser in the dining room

As well as the top of my writing bureau.

Tucked under the larger tree in the lounge were Peggy Sue and Clara as well as some of my Sindy dolls.

The other corner with the smaller tree started off like this...

But soon Big Betsy wanted to join in the fun as well as Henry of course.

Nomi also joined the party.

There are also some Sindys under this tree as well.

All good fun!

The Rose Cottage Hitty's also enjoyed decorating their home, and photos can be seen on their blog:

Advent 2018 - Day Seventeen

Peggy Sue asks Clara if she would like to have a go at opening the Advent Calendar today.

Clara was delighted to have a turn.

You look for today's date and then you open the little door to find out what is inside.  Peggy Sue explains to Clara.

Clara has a good look...

Aha, here it is.

She opens the little door

Look!

Do you know what this is?

The girls look at the little violin.

Isn't it tiny?!

Clara gives it to the little Playmobil boy to play.

There, a job well done.  She says.

The musicians are almost ready to perform for the Grand Christmas Ball.

Clara had chosen this dress for her Christmas photo.
