Staggered Shelving

I can finally see all my Trolls and Zelfs (who have been in a box for the last few years!)

There is always one (or two!) who don't face forward!

A Very Creative April

A busy creative April.

I made:

Three dresses, one for Madeline, and two for Wren.

11 pairs of shorts for Gregor (two of which are for Henry, the rest will be going in my Etsy Shop when it reopens.  When that will be I don't know, it will be when it is safe to go to the Post Office, at present I am not allowed to as per my letter from the NHS, I can't go to any shops)

Four reversible waistcoats (again two for Henry)

One pair of shorts for Howard Bear.

16 Tiny Rag Dolls and numerous dresses, pantaloons and aprons for them. (Some of these will be going in my Etsy Shop when it re-opens)

Only 15 dolls here as one went to her new home, my neighbour, just after I made her.

One cat
One guinea pig
Four bears.

Timothy (in the middle) is the only one with a name yet.  The floral bear was made with a tea towel I had been keeping for 'something special' and is made from a pattern I used to use when I made soft toys to sell in my Dad's shop when I used to live in NZ.  I didn't have any fur fabric to make him with fur so thought it would be fun to try something different and was pleased with how he came out, especially as it has been over 25 years since I have used this pattern!

I especially love this little bear I finished today.  He has a certain air of innocence about him.

Next month I'd like to finish my Hitty I am carving...she has been sitting on my desk patiently waiting for me to finish her...

I also need to make the dress for Caroline,  my Gail Wilson doll I made.

Christmas 2018 - The Displays.

I will do a photo with all the Sasha girls together before they change out of the their Christmas clothes...but they will stay in situ until the 12th Day.  In the meantime I thought I would post a few photos of the various Christmas displays and decorations we have out this year.  After a very  minimalist Christmas last year, I went completely overboard this year!

The Sasha girls adorned the dresser in the dining room

As well as the top of my writing bureau.

Tucked under the larger tree in the lounge were Peggy Sue and Clara as well as some of my Sindy dolls.

The other corner with the smaller tree started off like this...

But soon Big Betsy wanted to join in the fun as well as Henry of course.

Nomi also joined the party.

There are also some Sindys under this tree as well.

All good fun!

The Rose Cottage Hitty's also enjoyed decorating their home, and photos can be seen on their blog:

Puzzles on a Wet Day

It is pretty bleak outside today.  This morning it was very windy with snow flurries and now it is just plain wet and grey!  The perfect way to spend such a day is inside in the warm with a puzzle.

Lewis and Peggy Sue decide to do one of the Wentworth Christmas puzzles.

I think we need a board to do it on.  Peggy Sue suggests.

Good idea, agrees Lewis.

A few minutes later they have made a good start.

Little Owen helps them, whilst Duffy the bear looks on.

It doesn't take them long...

Almost finished, just the novelty character pieces to put in.

Let's give Little Owen a clap for helping us.  Peggy Sue suggests.

Thank you for your help Owen.  Lewis says as he gives him a clap.

What a fun little puzzle that was.
