A Doll A Day for April - Lindsey

I am going to attempt to do A Doll A Day for the Month of April... that is the goal anyway.  Lindsey, my 2001 American Girl doll wanted to do the honours of starting the month off.

She is wearing a fun little Mickey Mouse dress with a matching bag.

She looks lovely in the sunshine.

She has of course chosen a pair of matching red sandles.

Lindsey Bergman, a Girl of the Year, was released in June 2001 and has the Classic face mold.
I think she is really cute.

Birthday Gifts.

I received some lovely birthday gifts from my dear friend S.

An outfit that will fit my American Girl dolls, an AG DVD and a lip gloss.

Cute outfit which came with shoes.

This is so cute too!

Lindsey got to wear the outfit, she seems to fit this style more than my other girls.

She looks so cute in it.

She also sent Rose a lovely dress.

Rose shows it off in its packaging.

I think she is going to look fabulous in these colours.

Very cute!

Love this little dress, and Rose does too.

It is made by Sherryl of Bella Doll Clothes

Getting Festive

The Rose Cottage Friends are starting to feel a little festive...

Lindsey has donned a pretty knitted Christmas dress

She is joined by Everlee Rose and Sophia who are admiring some of the toys.

This shelf will gradually evolve over the next few weeks.

Peggy Sue has put on one of her favourite dresses of the season.

Hazel wants to start decorating her little tree.

Martha, Eva and Nancy have changed into Christmas clothes.

(This so called 'New UN-improved layout, means that the photos load on the opposite order to how you want them...took me several goes to get them in the right order...now I know that they load back to front it should make it a little easier....BUT WHY do they do this??)

Advent 2019 - Day 18

It must be my turn today Lindsey.  Sienna says.

It is!  Lindsey replies.

Together they look for the number 18

Here it is.  Sienna says excitedly.

She reaches in to find out what is inside.

She pulls it out and holds it up to show Lindsey.

Well open it then.  Lindsey tells her.

Sienna opens the package and holds up a little elf.

Another elf!  Just what they need.  More help in the workshop to make all the toys.

I'm going to pop him down here.  Sienna tells Lindsey.

The new elf meets the other two and they tell him they will show him what needs to be done.

Wasn't that fun?  Sienna says to Lindsey.
She agrees.  They are both getting very excited about Christmas.

Advent 2019 - Day 17

Shall we have a turn at opening the Advent Calendar today Sienna?  Lindsey asks.

Oh yes lets.  You do today and I'll have a turn tomorrow.  Sienna suggests.

They hunt for today's date.

Here it is Lindsey says as she points to it.

She reaches over...

and opens the door...

and pulls out the little package.

I've got something!  She tells Sienna.

I wonder what is in it?  Sienna asks.  Come on open it up.

It is a little bucket with food for the reindeer.  Lindsey says as she holds it for Sienna to have a look at.

I'm going to put it down over there.  Lindsey tells Sienna.

He must have been hungry.  He is eating it straight away!  Sienna says as the girls watch.

Creative Week 29

Some different creativity this week, not quite so much knitting, but mostly sewing and some woodwork.

A little Penny Wooden doll, who  I made from scratch, just waiting on her features and hair.

A dress for Lindsey

A rabbit who currently is wearing borrowed clothes.

A bear called Lawrence.

I've been admiring some bears on IG and Etsy but can't afford one at the moment due to Percy's ongoing treatment so inspired by them I decided to try and make a similar one for myself until such time as I can.  I just used some materials I had to hand and luckily already had the cardigan made, it just needed buttons and it fits so that was good.  I made him the shorts and scarf.

I'd like to get started on some ideas I have for Christmas gifts this week if time allows...but I may be just being far too optimistic!  We will see.  If I can't get them done this week, I don't think I will be able to.
