Creative Week 29

Some different creativity this week, not quite so much knitting, but mostly sewing and some woodwork.

A little Penny Wooden doll, who  I made from scratch, just waiting on her features and hair.

A dress for Lindsey

A rabbit who currently is wearing borrowed clothes.

A bear called Lawrence.

I've been admiring some bears on IG and Etsy but can't afford one at the moment due to Percy's ongoing treatment so inspired by them I decided to try and make a similar one for myself until such time as I can.  I just used some materials I had to hand and luckily already had the cardigan made, it just needed buttons and it fits so that was good.  I made him the shorts and scarf.

I'd like to get started on some ideas I have for Christmas gifts this week if time allows...but I may be just being far too optimistic!  We will see.  If I can't get them done this week, I don't think I will be able to.

Creative Week 25

Another Creative Week is over and I have made quite a few things, knitting, sewing, crochet and even some wood carving.

I added socks to Lewis' Sweater and Cap set.

Already shown are the two sweaters I knitted for Dennis AM.

Some pumpkins

A blanket for Clipper's bed as it is getting much colder.

Some TRD knitting:

Some TRD sewing:

I also made three witches' hats for the TRDs or other small dolls, one of which is on its way to a friend.

I also did some work on Hitty WIP who has been in the works for quite a long time now!

Still quite a bit of work to be done on her yet, but she is getting there.

The Making of a Little Wooden Bed

The making of a little wooden dolls bed...  not quite as easy as it looked, especially as I didn't have all the right 'ingredients' and tools for the job.  Hopefully the next one I make will be a bit better (or preferably a LOT better!)  To say this first bed is a little 'squew wiff' is an understatement!

Martha lends an expert hand to measure up

After this stage I painted it, but must have forgotten to take a photo of it just painted.

I ended up making two mattresses as the first was a little short.

Martha shows Clipper the progress so far.

Today (Saturday) I made a pillow, pillowcase and two sheets.

The bed almost finished.  I want to make a little blanket and then patchwork quilt for the top.
