A Doll A Day in April: Day Six - Smart Doll Rose Resilient

Just a couple of photos today as I wasn't happy with the others. 

I changed Rose's wig back to the one she arrived in originally.  

I think she looks okay in it.

She is a lovely doll, but I think I prefer the smaller and more child like dolls such as Sasha, Schoenhut, and even smaller. 

Advent 2021 - Day Thirteen: Rose Resilient's Turn.

Rose was thrilled to be asked to have an actual turn herself today to open the calendar.

It was up high, so was just the right door for her to open.

She reaches inside 

to carefully take out what was behind the door.

Oh look what she has.  Little Gigi, was first to have a look.

It is a cute little rabbit.

Aw, how sweet.

Gigi, wants to know if she can pet it.

Of course you can Gigi.

She sits down with the little rabbit on her left....in the meantime what is that pesky elf up to?!

 

Advent 2021 - Day Twelve: Eva's turn.

Today little Eva has come to open the calendar.

She is not sure she is big enough too,

but Wren reassures her that if there is a problem, Rose will help.

There it is Wren points out.

It IS a bit high.

Never mind, Rose was pleased to help lift Eva up.

She opens up the door and finds a little fence inside.

The fence is put with the other one to make a little corral

Looking good.

That little pesky elf is secured with handcuffs round his feet and hands....or is he?

 

Advent 2021 - Day Seven: Little Miss' Turn

It is a wild, windy and rainy day today and rather dark inside.

Today it the turn of Little Miss, my childhood Perfekta doll, to open the window.

Wren asks her if she is excited.

Of course she is!

They look for the number seven,

and Wren spots it and points to it.

It's up in the top corner, she says.

Rose picks Little Miss up so she can open the window.

She holds her carefully.

It is a big window!

Little Miss needed Rose's help to take out the item.

It is the star for the top of the stable!

Isn't this little Nativity Scene looking good so far.

What fun they are having.

 

Advent 2021 - Day Three

Kiwi Sindy joins Wren and friends to open up the Advent Calendar today.

Kiwi Sindy tells Wren that it is a bit high and she can't reach.

Wren is sure they can work something out.

Kiwi Sindy balances precariously on a chair...Rose looks on slightly bemused, wondering why they didn't ask her for help!

Kiwi Sindy manages to reach inside for the little gift.

She sits down on the chair, feeling ever so slightly shaken up after her harrowing balancing act.

I wonder what this is?

It's a feeding trough!  Wren kneels down in front of it to watch the little sheep see whether there is any food in the trough.

Very cute.

Kiwi Sindy is still taking it easy sitting down, and Rose is rather bemused that they didn't ask her for help.

Advent 2021 - Day Two

Wren and Nancy have been joined by Rose and Hazel for the second day of the Advent Calendar opening.

It is your turn today Nancy.  Wren tells her.

Wren lifts up Nancy so she can reach.

Nancy opens the little window.

A sheep!  Wren is thrilled that they have a sheep.

Nancy thinks the sheep is pretty cool too.

She puts the sheep with Mary.

What a lovely start.
