Dressmaking for Smart Dolls

My friend has recently bought herself a smart doll so I thought I would make a little wardrobe for her doll.

I made a pair of denim jeans and a pink off the shoulder t shirt.

A yellow t shirt

A bee dress

and a little necklace

I posted the parcel off at the beginning of the week and she is really happy with her new wardrobe.

I had such fun putting it together for her.

Birthday Gifts.

I received some lovely birthday gifts from my dear friend S.

An outfit that will fit my American Girl dolls, an AG DVD and a lip gloss.

Cute outfit which came with shoes.

This is so cute too!

Lindsey got to wear the outfit, she seems to fit this style more than my other girls.

She looks so cute in it.

She also sent Rose a lovely dress.

Rose shows it off in its packaging.

I think she is going to look fabulous in these colours.

Very cute!

Love this little dress, and Rose does too.

It is made by Sherryl of Bella Doll Clothes

Bobby & Hamish

The handsome Bobby was thrilled to receive a package of cardigans in the post the other day.  He and Hamish tend to miss out on clothing to a large extent, but they now have a nice selection of cardigans to choose from now the cooler weather is here.

Bobby chose this lovely green cardigan and is thrilled that it matches his green t shirt.

My photo editing programme is not working today so I have been having trouble with editing Hamish's photos that I took yesterday.  This is a bit of a worry as I really rely on this programme but for some reason it just keeps crashing.  Not good.  So I only managed two photos of Hamish.

The cardigan he chose goes nicely with his hair!

The weather today (Monday 9th September) is no where near as nice as it was yesterday.  It has been dull and overcast all day and has a damp feel about it.  Please don't come too soon Autumn!

Wonderful Gift Box.

A few weeks ago Henry received a package from the USA.

He was delighted to discover it was from his dear friends at Gregoropolis.

He asks Everlee Rose if she would like to help him unwrap the package

Of course she was delighted to.

Oh look, a Lego train set to make.  He exclaims.

Isn't this just the coolest thing?

It sure is Henry.  Everlee Rose replies.

Henry finds a hat next and Everlee Rose a bag of sweets.

Oh, we better make sure we clean our teeth after eating these.  She says sensibly.

They sort through the other gifts and are thrilled to find some postcards for Henry's Postcard Collection Album, a fridge magnet and a puzzle.

They sort them out on the box to show what they were lucky enough to be sent.

Aren't these gifts grand?

Thank you so much to the boys and girls of Gregoropolis and of course John and Steve, for this wonderful care package you sent us.  It is very gratefully received and will provide much enjoyment - and as you can see it already has!

Henry plans to sit down in the next couple of days to write a thank you letter.

Creative Weeks 14 - 16

There has still been some creativity happening on my better days when I have been able to sit up on the settee.  We had a week away and I thought I was doing okay, but within two days of getting back I was struck back down with more severe pains which landed me back in hospital and in resus as I collapsed.  I don't really remember that part, but hubby said it was scary!  I think I just passed out from the pain.  Still don't know what is going on.  Two A & E visits in just a month is way too much for my liking!

Anyway, this fellow has helped cheered me up and I really enjoyed making him.

Meet Geoffrey, who can't quite decide if he is an Alpaca or a Llama!

I am really pleased with how his face turned out.

He makes me smile.

I have started a 'Three Elephant Project', making one each for myself, my sister and my Mum.  My Mum sadly probably won't know what it is, and probably won't even really acknowledge it, she is sadly that bad now, but I at least know what it would have meant to her and it can sit in her room.  My Mum used to love elephants and made a lovely elephant embroidery picture that is on the wall in my parent's home.  The first poem my Dad ever taught me to learn off by heart was about an elephant and so it just seemed a fun little project to do.

This is Mavis

Martha

Mavis and Martha - the first two elephants.  I think the final one, which will probably be my Mum's will be in dark grey.  I don't think I have enough of the light grey to make the third.

They are knitted with some of my fabulous New Zealand Merino Wool that I bought while in NZ this year.

I have two more little rag doll so on the go.  One is for a swap, so I can't show them yet.  They still need their faces, eyes and clothes.  The other rag dolls I have been making (shown on the last Creative post) also need some more clothes and underwear made, but I just haven't been feeling like sewing or doing those.

I just love the next project that I made for my Daughter in Law's birthday.

I have really enjoyed making this special animal.

Her name is 'Sally' the Arapawa Sheep and she is made with Arapawa Wool and her dress is NZ Merino, so she has true Kiwi roots.

I crocheted a little pumpkin

Really pleased with how this turned out, so can see me making some more.  A nice little quick and easy project.

A little dress for Martha Elephant.

I have almost finished the bear I am making for my husband's birthday - just have to sew it up now when he isn't around and make a little outfit for him.
