A New Dress for Wren

Wren loves her new panda dress I made her at the end of August.

She wore it when we went for a wandering around Shanklin on the last day in August.

Oh, seems like she met a friend down there!

Dolls Gone Goth Wedding Dress Challenge

Another month, another Goth Doll Challenge, this time to make a wedding dress.

Using some tulle, lace/netting and pattern I found at a charity shop last month and some blue fabric I already had I set forth.

I decided to base the dress on this pattern.

This is what I came up with, modeled by Grandma Barbie.

I put netting over the skirt and added lace to the hem of the skirt.

Two 'bustles' at the back, one with the blue lace and one with the black netting.

Side view.

I made her 'bouquet' with ribbon, netting and lace.

She looks rather pleased with the dress.

This was a fun challenge to take part in.

Goth Doll Challenge

I wanted to take part in a fun Goth Challenge on Youtube.  I remembered I still had a Suki doll tucked away from a few years ago that was still unpainted.  I also had a small stash of various black fabrics and this is what I came up with:

I forgot to take before photos, so these are taken from screen shots from my video of the process

Her face unpainted.

I sorted out some black fabrics, which again I forgot to photograph!

In progress...

Face painted.

Finished.

The video of my process will be shown on 16th July.

Dressmaking for Smart Dolls

My friend has recently bought herself a smart doll so I thought I would make a little wardrobe for her doll.

I made a pair of denim jeans and a pink off the shoulder t shirt.

A yellow t shirt

A bee dress

and a little necklace

I posted the parcel off at the beginning of the week and she is really happy with her new wardrobe.

I had such fun putting it together for her.

Two Girls Enjoying the Sunshine

Wren loves her new dress and thinks it goes really well with the bluebells in the garden.

She has been enjoying the lovely weather we have been having.

I've made a pretty summer dress for Orla Hope.

She is very pleased with it.

You just got to love her bright orange hair!
