A Doll a Day in April: Day 12 - Bobby, a Kidz n Cats Doll

Today  Bobby is being featured.  He is a Kidz n Cats doll stock name Bobo, and I have had him since 2011/2012.  He has featured in a lot of stories on my Sasha blogs in the past as Henry's older brother.

I really like this boy and have had lots of fun with him in the past making up the stories.

I have one other Kidz n Cats doll who will feature on another day this month.

The Dolls' Advent Calendar Challenge - Days 8 - 15

Although I have been taking the daily photos for this challenge, I haven't gotten round to posting them, so am just going to post the last eight days today!

Day 8: Madeline

This sweet little doll featured a lot in 2017 and I did quite a few stories with her...she hasn't seen as much action the last year!

Day 9:  Bobby

This lovely lad is known as Henry's older brother... he has often in the past got up to some antics with his friend Hamish.

Day 10:  Hamish

Hamish is also a Kidz n Cats doll.  He is friends with Bobby and is Rory's cousin.

Day 11: Gigi

Is a little Ruby Red Galleria doll that I found by pure chance when searching UK Ebay a year or so ago for a Perfekta Gigi Doll.  Knowing that this dolls virtually NEVER come available in the UK, and having admired a Sasha friend's doll for a number of years I didn't hesitate.  I need to do more with her.  I think it will help if I give her her own name.

Day 12:  Hitty Joyful

Hitty Joyful is the proprietress of Rose Cottage Tearooms and is always cheerful.  She is wearing her new dress that she got sent ready for a New Year's Eve party

Day 13:  Melody Maplethorpe

Is a petite little lady who fits in well with the TRDs.  I think she may also work well with Muriel Singer, but I won't know until she is unpacked.

Day 14:  Fisherman's Wife

I bought this doll a number of years ago at an Antiques Fair.  She is completely handmade.  Her face looks like it is made from a wax type material, but I am really not sure.

Day 15:  Sailor Boy

This lad was bought at the same time as the Fisherman's Wife.

Advent 2019 - Day 11

Hamish and Bobby are just 'hanging' around wondering what to do.

When the thought occurs to them that perhaps Hamish could open the Advent Calendar today.

They walk over to the Calendar and look for today's date.

Hamish kneels down to open it with Bobby watching on.

He wonders what is inside...

...and reaches inside.

Oh look.  He says as he shows Bobby.

It looks like a chute.

He puts it in place.

It is now ready for the toys to come down.  The Elf inspects with his hammer at the ready in case any adjustments are needed.

So what shall we do now?  The boys wonder.

Advent 2019 - Day Nine

Hey Bobby, do you want a turn today at opening the Advent Calendar?  Henry asks his older brother.

You bet I do!  Bobby replies.

Together the boys look for today's date.

Of course it doesn't take them long to find it and Bobby kneels down so he can open the little door.

I spy with my little eye.... Bobby says.

...the number nine... as he opens the door.

I wonder what is in there?  Henry asks as Bobby shows him the package.

I don't know.  Replies Bobby.  It looks a bit like little pots or buckets.

I'm right!  It is little buckets.  Bobby says to Henry as he shows him the tray with the little pots on.

I think it must be an art set or something.  Henry says.

Or perhaps it is for the elves to paint the toys?  Bobby suggests.  After all it is Santa's Workshop.

I'll put it down here on the work bench.  Bobby tells Henry.

There are little pots, some paintbrushes and some pens...  Lots to keep the elf busy!

The children all enjoy playing and looking at the scene.

I think they are hoping to catch the elves in the act of actually working on the toys!

Bobby & Hamish

The handsome Bobby was thrilled to receive a package of cardigans in the post the other day.  He and Hamish tend to miss out on clothing to a large extent, but they now have a nice selection of cardigans to choose from now the cooler weather is here.

Bobby chose this lovely green cardigan and is thrilled that it matches his green t shirt.

My photo editing programme is not working today so I have been having trouble with editing Hamish's photos that I took yesterday.  This is a bit of a worry as I really rely on this programme but for some reason it just keeps crashing.  Not good.  So I only managed two photos of Hamish.

The cardigan he chose goes nicely with his hair!

The weather today (Monday 9th September) is no where near as nice as it was yesterday.  It has been dull and overcast all day and has a damp feel about it.  Please don't come too soon Autumn!

New Year's Eve Pyjama Party

How better to spend New Year's Eve than with friends.

A fairly simple event this year, they have already gobbled up all the food and are chatting before settling down to watch a movie.

Everlee and Nisha are deep in conversation

Someone has fallen asleep already!  Dorothy is resting up on Chrissy's lap.

Perhaps she is going to wake just before midnight?

Some lively discussion about what to watch.

Sienna Saige chats to Peggy Sue

Looks like I caught Anne-Marie's eye when I sneaked up to take these photos of them.

Will they all make it to midnight or will more fall asleep like Dorothy?
