Getting Festive

The Rose Cottage Friends are starting to feel a little festive...

Lindsey has donned a pretty knitted Christmas dress

She is joined by Everlee Rose and Sophia who are admiring some of the toys.

This shelf will gradually evolve over the next few weeks.

Peggy Sue has put on one of her favourite dresses of the season.

Hazel wants to start decorating her little tree.

Martha, Eva and Nancy have changed into Christmas clothes.

(This so called 'New UN-improved layout, means that the photos load on the opposite order to how you want them...took me several goes to get them in the right order...now I know that they load back to front it should make it a little easier....BUT WHY do they do this??)

Hazel's Sailor Playsuit

Hazel is hopeful that she is taking part in a Bleuette Camp this month... she sat on the sewing table this morning with the pattern eagerly hopeful that I'd get something made for her...

She has her little friend Heather with her...

Fortunately the sewing mojo returned to get to work.

Here she is wearing it outside in the full sun - hence not the best photo to see the outfit.

Here she is inside.  I used an old man's shirt to make this.  Always good to use existing fabrics and recycle if possible.

Lewis rides his Scooter

Lewis and his poodle go for a ride on the scooter today.

The look of determination on his face!

All set....

Off he goes!

I also did a couple of photos in sepia with an antiquing effect.

Great fun!

It's May!

I'm going to try and make something every day in May.

Today I made Peggy Sue a new dress which she loves from some fabric that was given to me by my neighbour as a thank you for the tiny rag dolls I made for her and her grand-daugther.

These are the two little dolls that have gone to their new homes.  I am waiting to hear what names they will be given.

On one of the groups I am on someone said they didn't know that there was a wooden Edith the Lonely doll, so I have taken a photo of mine to show her.  I have an idea of taking a photo a day of a different doll this month...but whether I achieve that is another thing!

Noodles Anyone?

I had a voucher to spend on Evilbay the other day so when I saw this little table and chair set, complete with food I thought it would be idea for one of my doll groups.

As it turned out it was the right fit for my Bleuette dolls and Hazel and her two friends sat down to enjoy a good meal.

Mm....delicious declares Hazel.

(The table setting is for four and Wren joined them a little later)
