Advent 2019 - Day Eight

Oh AM, do you think whilst those extraordinary large children are still tucked up in bed you could open the Advent Calendar for me?  Sindy asks while fluttering her eyelashes.

For you Doll, anything.  AM replies.

Holding hands they hunt for Day Eight.

Oh look there it is.  Sindy says excitedly.

Flexing his muscles as only AM can do, he opens the door for today.

Of course he has to make a meal of it....

Ta DA my love.. he says as with a flourish he presents the gift of the day to Sindy

A lamp to light the way

This lamp will shine, as my love shines for you....he says rather unexpectedly romantically for him...

Suddenly the twins appear

or rather it will attract little brats I mean children like moths to the light ... he thinks quietly to himself.

Sindy doesn't mind...at the moment she only has eyes for him!  She pats one of the twins on the back very tolerant of their sudden appearance and excitement. 

Advent 2019 - Day Four

It's your turn today Sophia.  Peggy Sue says.  Look I think it is up there. 

Oh yes, the top corner.  Sophia says as she sees the BIG door for today.

Golly I wonder what will be in here?  She says as she reaches up to open it.

Oh, now what is this?

The girls look at the bits that Sophia pulled out of the little cupboard behind door number four.

I think it is a table.  Peggy Sue says.

Look, it is a table!  

This looks like it will be useful for making things on.  Sophia suggests.

It is like a work table.

A couple of the little ones try it out for size and declare it perfect for them.

We will have to find them some things to make now.  Sophia says.

Indeed.  Peggy Sue agrees.

Halloween Preparations.

The last couple of days I've been decorating a shelf for Halloween.

All the little ones have been gathering.

It is starting to look really atmospheric.

Creative Week 19

Another productive week.

I made a couple of necklaces, one for Martha and one for a friend of hers.

Two new dresses for Martha:

This one is a pinafore and it has a couple of cute pockets. 

I made her a tiny bear to go in one of the pockets.

Quite a lot of the Tiny Doll knitting was done this weekend.  Some while we were up at my DIL's yesterday afternoon and the rest today while sitting out in the garden enjoying the fabulous weather.  

It has been a good productive week and I am pleased I have achieved the goals I set for myself.

Snow Play Day

It snowed last night, and it has started up again this afternoon, but various members of Rose Cottage managed to get out to have a play in the snow.

Henry and Lewis enjoyed going for a sleigh ride pulled by their trusty husky.  

Of course no snow play is complete without making some snow angels in the snow.

The little ones got out...  Keith's cousin abandoned clothes and had fun sliding down the snow slope on his bare botty!  Watched on by Hitty Madge, Ivy and Nancy.

Rather him than them they thought.

Toots practised her skiing and is ready for the slopes.
