Fashion on Friday

I have actually managed to get some sewing done!  My productivity is a little slow at the moment.

This Daisy Kingdom panel has been sitting in my stash for a while, so I decided yesterday that I would make it.  It looked simple enough but the instructions weren't the easiest to understand as it turns out!  But in the end, I am happy with the result.

It looks really sweet on Pansy and the fit is perfect.

Other makes so far this month include:

A beret to match this cardigan.  (I actually made two of these berets as one was for an order)

This little set is now in my Etsy Shop, MurielMakes

I made a dress for Tui which was shown in an earlier post.

I knitted a jacket for Lewis...especially as it was so cold when he first arrived.

Little Madeline didn't go neglected... after a couple of failed attempts (my sewing machine and I were not on speaking terms for a while!) I made this dress.

Lastly I knitted this pale green dress for her.

I have another jacket for Lewis 'on the needles'.  Currently working on the sleeves so it is nearly finished.

Tuesday Morning in the Garden.

Where are Sophia and Peggy Sue off to I wonder?

Ah, looks like they have spotted a friend enjoying a quiet moment in the garden.

They hurry up so they can go and say hello.

Hi Tui, what are you doing?  Peggy Sue asks.

Just listening to the birds. Tui replies.

It is so lovely out here today, so much better than yesterday.  Just listen to all the birds singing.

Henry sees the girls in the garden and wanders over to say hello.

Hi there.  He says.

Hi Henry.  Sophia replies.

They chat for a while, then Peggy Sue asks him if he can help them get the swing chair set up again.

Of course I will.  Henry tells them.

Not long later...

Thank you Henry.  Peggy Sue says as Sophia enjoys a swing.

Blue Monday

What's a girl to do when it is too wet to go outside because of intermittent showers on the first day in May?

Well sit and soak up the sunshine that streams through the window between the spring showers.

Tui is pleased with her new BLUE dress.  Now she just needs some blue shoes!

Summing up the Sewing & Knitting of the Week.

Quite a productive week on the knitting and sewing front.

A dress and yellow 'Mary Jane' shoes for Tui

Plus a navy pair of shoes.

A shawl and a hat for Hitty Madge

A new dress

I also finished this one that had been waiting quite some time for snaps to be sewn on.

Madeline of course got her two new swimsuits, which she was wearing in this post here.

A pretty summer dress

A dress with some of my left over variegated NZ wool.

Plus a purple lacy dress.

I also used the above pattern to make Little Miss a dress.

I knitted a little cardigan and hat for Poppy

It matches the dress I made a few weeks ago.

Lastly I made Peggy Sue a summer dress.  It seems ages since I did any sewing so it was good to have a some time on Saturday to do some, which is when I also made the dresses for Hitty Madge and Madeline shown above.

I doubt I will  have any time for sewing this week, but probably will be able to get some knitting done in the evenings.  I have a KAL I am joining in on and hoping to make a start on that tomorrow evening.

Catching up with Tui

Tui is a very relaxed girl and can often be found in various 'chillaxed' poses as she calls them.

She is a very cheerful girl with a not a worry in the world.

She likes day dreaming...

Playing with her wooden animals...

Reading...

Reading....

...and more reading!

This must be a very good book as she has been totally absorbed in it most of the day!
