Sunny Sunday

Bellamy enjoyed his early morning beach thoughts...

The sun was shining and the sea was beautiful.

On his solitary wanderings today he took time out to see the memorial stone.  You can read more about it here:  https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/106656935/francis-gray-bacon

Kiwi Sindy thought it was high time she changed out of her winter woolies.

She found a nice spring dress to wear that matched her red boots as she still wanted to wear them.

She looks rather contemplative sitting there...

A wee bit lonely I think.

Advent 2018 - Day Sixteen

Hang on a minute this doesn't look like Sashas!

Looks like this is a collaborative effort though...

Bruce helps keep it all steady with the help of two of the Jason Clan, and Baby with a Hat.

Another member of the Jason clan helps hold Kader Baby and Keith's Cousin.

They are certainly determined!

Their hard work is rewarded as a Playmobil person pokes his head out.

What a shock Keith's Cousin got!

Once down in perhaps not a particular refined way....they all introduce themselves.

Peggy Sue's Birthday Party

Molly, Everlee and Emily have changed into some pretty dresses made several years ago (some for the first dresses I ever made for the Sasha dolls)  they wanted to go with a purple theme as they had heard that Peggy Sue likes purple.  They were on hand to greet the arriving guests.

Violet (Velvet) was the first to arrive and she was very excited as she hadn't been to one of Peggy Sue's parties before.

Next were Josefina and Sienna Saige.

Gosh have you grown?  Emily asks them.

They chuckle.  We don't think so.  Sienna Saige tells them.

Next to arrive were Pauline, Patty and little Ruby Tuesday.

Welcome to the party.  Everlee says.

Oh hello Nomi.  Molly says.

I've brought a rose for Peggy Sue.  Nomi shows them.

That is so sweet of you.  The girls tell her.  Don't be shy, she should be here soon.

Sure enough, Peggy Sue arrives and Nomi presents her with the rose.

That really is the sweetest thing.  Peggy Sue says to Nomi.  Thank you.

While Peggy Sue is talking to Nomi, the other girls are starting to mingle and get to know each other.

Hello Josefina, so glad you could come.  Peggy Sue says.

Sienna Saige told me you might be coming.

It is a shame Chrissy couldn't make it this year.

The stereo is in place.  The boys having moved it in for them earlier in the day.

Ruby Tuesday wonders how it works.

Molly explains that you put a record on it and there is a special needle that goes into the grooves and 'reads' the music.  It is very clever she says.

The girls are all starting to mingle and chat.

Emily and Molly catch up with Josefina's news.

It doesn't take them long to start eating the cake!

Nomi offers Pauline one.

Thank you Nomi.  Pauline says.  That looks delicious.

These are very nice cakes.  Patty says to Peggy Sue.

They are indeed.  Peggy Sue agrees.  Shall we have some more!

Yes please!  Violet says enthusiastically.

Earlier than I would have thought, the music has started and some of the girls are already up jivin'

Looks like they might be 'doing the twist'

Twist and turn...

The girls are having a lot of fun!  I have a feeling they might be dancing well into the night!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All the girls are wearing clothing made by myself except Ruby Tuesday who is wearing a dress my Nan knitted and Patty who is wearing a little outfit given to me.
Hoping for a Ride.
Rebekah Grace and Peggy Sue are trying to go for a ride on Push-a-Long Dog (who is waiting patiently for a name!)
But to no avail...before long Rebekah Grace gets bored with pretending and goes inside to see if any of the other boys or girls want to play with her.
Peggy Sue's patience however is rewarded when along comes Big Betsy who happily provides the pushing power!
Whee...this is fun,  Peggy Sue calls out.
Visiting Hours
It is visiting time at hospital and Peggy Sue goes to see Emily.
She is soon joined by Henry who was delayed ever so slightly by a post delivery. He wanted to bring it in with him as it was addressed to him, Peggy Sue and Emily.
What have you got there?  Peggy Sue asks.
Looks like we all have something.  He tells her.  It is addressed to all three of us.
Look Emily, seems you have some post!  Henry shows her the envelope.
Shall I open it for you?  He asks her.
Please do, I can't do anything at the moment.  Emily tells him.
Oh look a card, addressed to you.  He holds up the envelope for Emily to see.
Oh, it IS for me.  She says surprised.  Please open it to see what is inside.
Look, isn't it pretty?  Peggy Sue says as Henry holds up the card.
Emily takes a closer look.
'Sending positive thoughts and healing wishes'  Emily reads.
Wow, look at the inside!  Henry gasps.  Looks like all our friends at Gregoropolis have signed it.  Isn't that so thoughtful of them?
Emily looks at the card, a little overwhelmed, not quite realising she had so many friends!
What a wonderful thing to do.  Emily is thrilled and it has helped ease her time while in hospital waiting on surgery.
Soon visiting time is over.
Peggy Sue pats Emily on the head, and reassures her she will be in to visit again tomorrow.
Take care sweet Emily, Henry says.  Not too much longer to wait, only a couple of weeks.  Rest up and take care.  You will be back to new before too long.  He reassures her.  I will be back with Peggy Sue tomorrow to see you.
Nursing Sister Elizabeth checks on Emily's temperature...with the arm severed like it was, she has to make sure no infection sets in.
All good.  Rest now Emily.  Sister Elizabeth says before she continues on her rounds of checking the other patients.
