A Little Get Together at the Seaside

Thursday morning we spent a couple of hours with some friends down at the beach.

The boys went riding on their Vespas

Nelson took the bike, but Tom prefers his skateboard

So off they go quite happily until....

Perhaps it is time to move on to someone else, and leave them to their discussions...

Henry came too, this must be one of the first outings he has done in a very long time.

I think he enjoyed himself...well at least until a little later...

Postcard Swap - Wren receives her fifth card.

Wren was excited to receive her fifth card in the post this morning.

She loves the vintage look of the card.

Postcard Swap - Wren receives her fourth card!

Wren is delighted to receive her fourth postcard

She thinks this postcard swap is such fun, and hopes that more people will join in.

Oh look, the card shoes places in Bath.

It is from her friend Ada Makie (and Ada's person, Jessica)

She is thrilled that Ada managed to get this postcard to send to her.  

Wren's person has been to Bath, many years ago now when she was home-educating The Sailor.  It was so fascinating to visit with all its Roman history.  Wren hopes she will get to visit Bath one day.

Thank you Ada for this lovely postcard.  It was fun to see the lovely pictures of places in Bath.

Postcard Swap - Wren receives her first card!

Wren was absolutely delighted to receive her first postcard today for the postcard swap all the way from Alaska.

She slows it to Kiwi Sindy who is taking a short break from whatever it was she was doing!

She loves the happy looking wolf on the front.  She was interested to read that Alaska is home to an estimated 7,000 to 11,000 wolves, and that they have been threatened or endangered in Alaska.

Isn't it a lovely card?

She reads the back delighted to hear that Beatrix enjoyed her trip to the Pioneer Park. 

She was especially tickled to see the Scooby-Doo stamp on the back and can't wait to show it to the Scooby Doo Makies.

An Advent Afternoon Tea Party

The Rose Cottage Friends were invited to an Advent Afternoon Tea Party so new dresses had to be made - of course!  Nothing like leaving it to the last minute though.  Both Peggy Sue and Mary got a new dress.

Peggy Sue got given some new tights from her friend Poppy and couldn't wait to show them off as they matched her dress so well.

Pru, one of the hosts was given a new dress by Peggy Sue and Mary and she tried it on immediately and seemed pretty pleased with it.  Henry felt a little out of place with the Schoenhut girls...

So went to say hello to the Sasha girls before going to spend some time with FredErik.

Pru and Mary enjoyed some special time together

I think they are going to become very good friends.

 

An Afternoon Tea

Peggy Sue and Co, had a lovely afternoon tea at their friend's house yesterday.

It was so lovely for them to spend time together.

The afternoon tea was delightful, such a yummy spread!

Lucy read out loud for a little while which Janice enjoyed.

Peggy Sue very much enjoyed cake whilst little Annie cuddled her new doll.

You really should try this cake, Peggy Sue says.

Later, after her 'spa' Anne-Marie joined them.

She feels so pretty now, and is thrilled with the Spa Treatment Aunty Chris gave her.

Later she is joined by Rebekah Grace and Margaret (Little Maggie)

Annie is joined by her sister Lucy who also had some spa treatment.

Such a lovely way to spend the afternoon.

 

A Lunch Date

Peggy Sue had an invitation to go to a friend's for lunch.

She spent ages trying to decide what to wear, but in the end she couldn't bear to change into any Autumnal or Winter clothing just yet so she opted for a blue cardigan to go with her summery dress.

The girls are seated at the table ready for their lunch.

Peggy Sue and Lucy were delighted to be able to enjoy each other's company.

This lunch looks delicious thought Peggy Sue, as she lays her napkin on her lap.

Lucy opted to put the napkin under her chin.

In another room Clara, Lewis and little Bethany were waiting patiently having had their lunch earlier.

Due to needing to change location of their table, Lewis helped move the furniture and the flowers.

Can we eat yet?  Lucy asks.

I think we can now.  Peggy Sue answers her.

Lucy doesn't look so sure and is concerned they might have to move the table again...but they didn't.

Little Bethany is playing with one of the Tiny Rag Dolls, that came out with them.
