For most Dear Henry needs no introduction.  He of course has his own blog 'Holidays with Henry' 

He hasn't been on many holidays lately - actually he hasn't been on any since his last in 2019!

But he is still a very special boy.

 

A Doll a Day in April: Day 29 - Maddison

My beautiful Shelly B repaint, Maddison, is my doll today.  For the first time in ages she has changed out of her 'Rose Hip Chicks' costume to wear this pretty dress I made a number of years ago.  She looks so good in it.

So one more day to go! 

 

A Doll a Day in April: Day 28 - Lulu from London

Today's doll is my Lulu from London Lollipop doll by Jan McLean, a New Zealand Doll Artist.  

She is quite different to my other dolls, but I really like her and glad I have her in my collection.

Today's doll of the day is the beautiful Margo, a Yella, Schildkrot doll designed by Sieglande Frieske. 

She came with two wonderful outfits, the more autumnal one above

and this lovely spring/summer time outfit.

She is such a pretty dolls

I enjoy having her in my collection very much.

Today's gorgeous Sasha baby is my doll of the day, and I found her in 2019 in a Charity Shop!  What a treat that was.  She is wearing a little one piece romper suit with matching booties I made. 

 

A Doll a Day in April: Day 24 - Rebekah Grace

Today's doll is my special Schoenhut 14/105 that a friend brought back from the USA for me.

The bright pink shoes don't quite match her dress, but they will do.

She does have a lovely wardrobe of clothes which I showed on the video.

Ginger George tends to spend his time as a sailor nowadays...but perhaps it is time for a change, we will see!

A Doll a Day in April: Day 22 - Walda

Today's doll is the infamous Walda.  These cheap 'China dolls' from the seventies have attracted quite a following and there are groups that discuss and follow her. Also known as 'Where's Walda'...spot the doll in a charity shop, but also sometimes sold as an 'Antique Doll' with a price tag is not realistic as these dolls are not worth much.  I had a few at one stage, but sold or gave away all the others and kept this one who I thought was the nicest.  They all have very similar style dresses.

Walda sits in this chair beside one of my doll houses.  

 

A Doll a Day in April: Day 21 - Penelope Goodhope & her sister Charlotte

Today's doll of the day is Penelope Goodhope joined by her sister Charlotte.

These delightful dolls were made by Paulette Morrisey and are such cuties.  

They come with a story each about their characters. 

Penelope loves art and rose gardens, and just like me she dabbles in painting...not that I have done any for ages.

A Doll a Day in April: Day 20 - Camille, a Les Cheries Corolle Doll

Today's doll of the day is my sweet Camille, the Les Cheries Corolle doll I found in a charity shop in Orewa, New Zealand in February 2019.  

She is wearing a lovely Easter outfit that my friend Jay of Jay Dolls UK on Youtube made for her for a swap we did for Easter last year. 

So pleased I found this sweet doll.

Today's doll is Nisha, who is a Girl for All Time doll.

She is so pretty.

She is wearing a dress I knitted a few years ago, teamed with Sasha doll shoes.

 

A Doll A Day in April: Day 18 - Hitty Madge

Hitty Madge is today's doll of the day.  She has been one of my main travel companions since I carved her back in 2012 I think it was.  She has a special travel pouch I made to keep her safe in my bag. 

She is wearing a lovely knitted cardigan by a friend of mine who used to live in NZ, but now lives in Portugal.  She has hardly taken it off since she received it a number of years ago.

 

A Doll a Day in April: Day 17 - American Girl Doll Kirsten Larson

Today's doll of the day is Kirsten Larson, my beautiful Pleasant Company  American Girl Doll

She is so lovely, and I am very pleased to have her in my collection.

I also have her complete set of six books.  

I thought I had some other accessories for her, but I can't find them, so not sure if I did!

 

A Doll a Day in April: Day 16 - Molly

Today's doll is my darling Molly.  She was one of my first Sasha dolls, and a firm favourite of mine.

She had greening eyes and eyebrows which I darkened back to her proper colour.

She was part of the Rose Hip Chicks girl band, but found she suffered from stage fright and would get sick so they had to get someone else.

She has been changed into a pretty yellow dress

Doesn't she look absolutely delightful?

Such a little sweetheart.

 

A Doll a Day in April: Day 15 - Little Miss Perfekta

Today's doll is my childhood doll, Little Miss, a Perfketa doll.

I made her a wardrobe of clothes back in 2016 as up until then she didn't have any!

She went back to NZ with me a number of years ago now.  

She is such a sweet happy little doll.
