Letting Go/Selling
I want/need to sell all my dolls, props, clothing etc...but the thought of having to photograph everything, list it, package and post it all is so overwhelming I'm wondering what other ways might be better. Have an 'event' at my place where people can come and buy? Have people look at the blog and contact me if they want something? For example I have loads of props such as washing machine, cooker, sink, horses, bikes, beds, lots and lots and lots of stuff - or so it seems. Suggestions/Advice on how to go about this and how to 'let go' will be gratefully received.

I'm so sorry to read about your difficulties. :( If it helps, I would be interested in buying all of your genuine Madeline products, except the wardrobe. However, it might be cost prohibitive shipping all that to the US. At the very least, I would like to buy all of your Madeline clothes and boots, if you are looking to sell those.

Dear Lorraine,
ReplyDeleteLetting go isn't easy, I know. One thing you might consider, for a few of your items, is to donate them to a local church or charity.
You might offer surprise boxes of items, grouped together by theme or randomly chosen...this could be a lot of fun for the recipient.
And, having an event at your home is also a good idea, or through a doll club, perhaps.
warmly,
Beth
Boa noite e feliz semana.
ReplyDeleteIt would be easier to put them on your blog then you have no selling fees, you could then put the word out on the Sasha sites to get a bigger hit. If you photograph the items you rarely use first and box them up ready you can store and tidy at the same time. With the items boxed it may not be so hard to part with them. Good luck with what ever you decide to do.
ReplyDeleteThank you, some good ideas.
