New Shoes

Some of the Schoenhut girls have some new shoes which they were very excited about.

Rebekah Grace got a lovely pair of pink shoes which she declared went perfectly with her pink dress.

Peggy Sue got a new pair of yellow shoes that go nicely with her knitted dress and beret.

Mary has a lovely pair of jade coloured shoes that match her knitted socks and dress nicely.

She wanted to shoe you them when standing up too.

While they were trying on their new shoes....

Janice was taking it easy...she already had a lovely pair of shoes made by Schoenhut Cobbler Maureen Leshko which are a perfect match for the knitted dress I made her a few years ago.

Rebekah Grace joins her on the chaise lounge.

Such sweet girls.

The new shoes worn by Rebekah Grace, Peggy Sue and Mary were bought from Petrana at Sasha-Doll.

It can be difficult to get shoes to fit the Schoenhut especially in the UK, so it is nice to be able to get some shoes that work with these dolls.

The little pink pair worn by Rebekah Grace are for I believe the Pongratz dolls. She is a 14/105

Peggy Sue has on a Sasha pair of shoes, they are a little big, she has more toddler size feet, but they work with insoles and thick knitted socks as shown.  Peggy Sue is 16 inches tall.

Mary is 19 inches tall and is also wearing a Sasha pair of shoes (without an insole)  with knitted socks.  She is a 19/308

Fashion on Friday - New Shoes!

Oh, what have we here? Peggy Sue wonders as she walks up to the table and sees a parcel on it.

A little parcel

for me!

'To Peggy Sue, from your friend Maureen'

Wow, is it really for me?

I wonder what is inside?

Wow, red shoes!

Tying laces is tricky.

Really tricky!

Peggy Sue finally manages to tie her laces.

Wow, they sure look pretty.  She says as she admires them.

Look, don't they look nice.  I just have to find my red dress now...

They go even better with a red dress on.

Do you like my new shoes?

I think these shoes are made for dancing!

Da, de dah.

A twist and a turn,

I love my new red shoes!

Meanwhile...in a slightly more sedate fashion.

Lewis tries on some new shoes as well.

Special shoes made just for me!  They fit well too.

Thank you!

A big thank you to our friend Maureen who made these fabulous new shoes for us.

Mum is going to get knitting tonight for you....and hopefully she will also make me a nice new red dress with short sleeves for summer!

Fashion on Friday

Madeline thought it would be appropriate to show off her boot collection today for the 'Fashion on Friday' posting.

She has amassed quite an array of colours!

There is one colour in particular she would like to add to this collection when/if they become available and that is a pair of purple boots...because all discerning doll fashionista must have a pair of purple boots!

I still haven't done any sewing, although do have some projects planned and am hoping to make a start on those next week.  These projects include the Mini AG/Doll SAL/KAL on Ravlery - I am going to be making a little wardrobe for a Madeline doll for a friends's daughter in New Zealand.

I would like to join in with one of the Bleuette Sewing Challenges and Hitty - I need to catch up with both these groups as have fallen WAY behind.

My priority though will probably be designing and making a collection for Lewis...I have a few ideas and need to do some research.

I have done some knitting though.

A vest knitted with some of my favourite NZ Merino, Possom and Alpaca Wool, this time in a green which I think suits him really well.

Of course he needed a cap.

Plus some socks.  He has borrowed a pair of shorts from the Gregor lads to show of his socks.

I've knitted a sweater which Donny is making.  This may go in my Etsy shop.

Plus I added some owls to the vest pattern.

This time in the Arapawa fleece I have.

Albert also got a new cardigan/jacket.  The first thing I have made for him, so he was pretty pleased.

A few other things were knitted - some flowers - I test knitted a pattern for these and another jacket not shown here.
