A Pyjama Party!

 On November 5th some of the Rose Cottage Friends had a pyjama party.  Here are a few photos as they gathered ready for the party to begin.

Wandering with Wren - Wildheart Animal Sanctuary

On Thursday Wren went to the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary in Sandown.

She headed straight over to see the lions.

These lions were rescued from circuses where they were neutered early and had their claws removed, so they don't have manes.

She enjoyed watching the lions.

Next up she went to see the meerkats

On lookout.

Some flower spotting while walking around the park.

This place looked interesting...

She learnt about P.L.U.T.O  Pipeline under the ocean.

As well as some history of the D Day Landings.

So always something to learn, and not just about the wonderful animals that this sanctuary has rescued and given homes to.

Postcard Swap - Wren receives her third card!

Wren shows off her third postcard.

It is so pretty 

It is from her friend Annie Makie in Minnesota.

She loves the stamps on the card as well.

Wren was due to go to Minnesota in 2019 with Henry but their human wasn't well so it had to be cancelled.  Such a shame as she was looking forward to seeing all the beautiful Lakes that Annie writes about on the card.  Who knows whether she will ever get the opportunity to go again...

Wandering with Wren - Ventnor

 

Wren went for a lovely wander around Ventnor on Friday.

She enjoyed wandering around the park and seeing what was still flowering.

The gunnera looks like it has been cut for the season.

The sea was wild.

We had a lovely cuppa at our favourite cafe on the waterfront.

Wren also picked up a nice postcard from Ventnor and will be sending it to another participant in the postcard swap.
