Wandering with Wren - Wildheart Animal Sanctuary

On Thursday Wren went to the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary in Sandown.

She headed straight over to see the lions.

These lions were rescued from circuses where they were neutered early and had their claws removed, so they don't have manes.

Someone's watching you Wren!

She enjoyed watching the lions.

Next up she went to see the meerkats

On lookout.

Some flower spotting while walking around the park.

This place looked interesting...

She learnt about P.L.U.T.O  Pipeline under the ocean.

As well as some history of the D Day Landings.

Now what is this?

A copy of a phone building in Madagascar

So always something to learn, and not just about the wonderful animals that this sanctuary has rescued and given homes to.

One of the Tigers

Some friendly goats

Lastly a walk along the beach front and the moody sky.

Wren picked up a lovely postcard from the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary so if anyone would like to join in the postcard swap, please leave a message :)
