How Does Your Garden Grow?

Henry and I are staying with the Sailor and his wife for the weekend and Henry wanted to go and inspect the garden.

Gosh look how well these sweetcorn are growing!

Hmm...melons coming along nicely. I can see some small melons already forming.

This is an ingenious way to raise seeds and seedlings as well as making use of plastic bottles.

This rhubarb looks good, can't wait until we can have rhubarb and apple crumble.

The cauliflower is growing nicely.

Can I help plant anything?

  1. It is bit hot for digging Henry though I like your enthusiasm to help with the farming/gardening. The sailor and his wife are raising some yummy looking food.

    1. It was quite hot for digging...we only managed a little bit today before we had to stop.

  2. I wish our garden would look so healthy... but the only plants that seem to like the hot and dry weather we have are zucchini!
What a clever use of plastic bottles!

    1. He has been watering the garden, it wouldn't have survived the heat otherwise.

  3. Quite an impressive garden. I can see why Henry is inspired to take up the shovel.

  4. Hi, Henry, good to see you back! You are good at recognizing each of the crops! I'll bet you will want to come back for some good food when it is time to harvest.

    1. We've already some very tasty produce from the garden. Potatoes, beans, tomatoes, radish, beetroot and carrots. :)
