Gregor - Rory

Rory is my frog loving boy, and he is delighted with the pond at his new home.

He is often seen sitting by the pond, watching the tadpoles surrounded by his froggy friends.

Not sure what Kermit finds so funny?!

He agreed to pose for a photo wearing his favourite waistcoat

Which has frogs on of course.

I'm not sure if he has let one of the toddlers near his fringe, as it doesn't normally look 'crooked' like it seems to today!

Rory looks for Tadpoles.

Rory is heading to the pond to see if he can spot any tadpoles

He is really looking forward to having some frogs this year.

He was surprised to fin Henry already at the pond.

He joins Henry as they look for tadpoles

They see a few...

Much better over this side though.  Rory tells Henry.

Lots of tadpoles.

Rory sees if he can count them, but admits there are too many.

We only topped up the pond a few days ago, it almost looks like it needs yet more water, it has been so warm the last couple of weeks.

The boys enjoy sitting beside the pond chatting away about this and that.

They are fortunate they have each other's company.

Rory is frog spotting!

There has been much excitement for Rory as not only do we have newts, but also at least three frogs in our pond.  The snails seem to have disappeared though - perhaps the frogs or newts have been eating them thinks Rory.

He has been out there most of the morning watching for the frogs.

His patience has been rewarded.

He takes a closer look

One frog...

Two frogs... with the third disappearing just as he bent down to take a closer look.

He decides to sit very quietly and see if they will come back up to the surface again.

What better way to spend this lovely sunny day he thinks to himself than to watch wildlife and in particular his favourite, frogs!

Froggy Friends and Packing

Rory has been taking good care of his frog friends this winter

They have a nice temperature controlled environment that he checks regularly

Helped by his two advisers, the frogs are kept happy and safe.

They have everything they could need, food, shelter, water.

Rory enjoys his frogs very much indeed.

They keep him busy every day and he loves to spend time with them.

Elsewhere...

Your bookcase is looking good Peggy Sue.  Henry says.

Thank you Henry.  I am really pleased with it.  Peggy Sue tells him.  I can keep my books nice and tidy now.

Are you getting ready for our upcoming trip yet?  She asks Henry.

Henry sits down.  Well I have my camera ready.  He tells her.

I've been trying to think of what to take this year.  Peggy Sue says.  Mum says we are going to travel 'extra light' this year.  Not sure what she means by that!

Well I think she means we don't need to take so many clothes this year.  She said something about 'one on, one in the wash, and one spare'   which I guess makes sense....  Henry tells Peggy Sue.

But surely that won't be enough!  Peggy Sue says.  How will I narrow it down to just three items/sets of clothes???

I am sure you will work out something Peggy Sue.  Henry reassures her, while wondering himself, just how he is going to manage that as well!
