Fashion on Friday

Not much to show this week, just three dresses.

I have sorted through a pile of fabric though and found some pieces for a couple of upcoming projects though that I am quite excited about.  Hoping I might get a chance to start on them this weekend.

Chrissy is wearing a dress I test knitted the pattern, once the pattern is available I will try and remember to upload the link to it.  It is a pretty pattern and has some lovely variations to it.

A variation of a style of dress I have enjoyed knitting for the American Girl dolls over the years - a straighter, pleated skirt similar in style to the skirt on the dresses I have knitted for Hazel my Bleuette doll.

I am really pleased with how this dress turned out.

I also knitted a dress for Peggy Sue as it is getting colder and she wanted something with long sleeves.

This is the last of my knitting for a while as I am having such problems with pain, not while knitting as such, but I am wondering if it isn't helping me doing the knitting, so will  try and rest them for a few weeks...although it seems really odd as I am so used to knitting in the evening as it is my 'distraction' from the pain - if that makes sense?!

Fashion on Friday

My plans changed on Saturday so I ended up having a sewing day - I was inspired, hopefully my sewing mojo really has returned to stay awhile.

These three dresses are all new.

This dress was made for the 'Glad it's Plaid Challenge' on one of the Bleuette groups I am on.

This dress was for the other Bleuette Group's sewing challenge - the same pattern is used - just different interpretations.  I really like this pattern so can see myself making it again.

Autumn Finery was the challenge for the Hitty Girls group, and Hitty Madge got a new dress.

Plus an apron so she doesn't get her dress dirty when she is out harvesting.

I have knitted another little pale blue cardigan.

Shown on both Sophia

and on Peggy Sue.

I finally put some buttons on this pretty turquoise cardigan.

Again shown on both Sophia

and Peggy Sue.

Both these cardigans are now in my Etsy Shop.

I knitted this sweater that can be worn with either the buttons at the front or back, although I always prefer them at the back.  Henry is pleased to model it.

Also seen on Lewis.

This sweater is also in my Etsy Shop.

I am currently test knitting a pattern for someone using the lovely turquoise wool...  will show that next week.

Fashion on Friday

A little bit of sewing and knitting done this week.

Today I made a little dress for my Blue Eyed Bleuette.  She had been awaiting a body which finally arrived yesterday.  Now I need to make her some shoes and socks!

Her wig is currently just a temporary one as it is the only one I had that fitted.

Hitty Madge went awol for a few weeks and when my husband finally found her up at the Sailor's house the relief all round was immense so I just had to make her a new dress!

I was asked to make a 'ballet' cardigan for a 22 inch Schoenhut.  This was the 'prototype.

I then knitted another with ribbing to the sleeves and body.

Rebekah Grace ended up with a dress unexpectedly but is delighted with it.

Lewis is modelling a sweater that will be going in my Etsy shop.  This fits both 16 inch Schoenhut dolls and Gregor/Sasha dolls.

Lastly another dress that will be going in my Etsy shop for 'A Girl for all Time' dolls, modelled by Matilda.

Fashion on Friday

How can Friday be here again and so quickly??

Not a lot done this week - not an especially good week for me.

I made my little Bleutte girl 'Patti' and dress - she has been waiting quite some time for one!

She is pretty pleased with the result and is looking forward to some more dresses.

I've been trying not to do any knitting as I have a sore left thumb, but it is hard not to knit - I don't know what to do with my hands in the evening if I don't!

Lewis decided he quite liked this fun sweater I made...

...he declared it perfect to wear when walking in the garden...

...where he met up with one of my Robin Rive Bears 'McKenzie'.

Fashion on Friday

Gosh over two weeks into August.  My last 'Fashion on Friday' post was at the end of July.

The knitting needles have continued to be busy, although I think I may have to rest from knitting for a while as I have developed a sore left thumb!

Lewis has a new 'school' sweater, socks and I also made him a pair of shorts..

This sweater is For Sale and will fit both Gregor and 16 inch Schoenhut dolls like Lewis.

This sweater is sold.  I also made matching socks.

This sweater Lewis decided to keep.

This sleeveless sweater and cap was an order I knitted for a 18 - 19 inch Schoenhut doll, so is shown on Hamish my KnC boy.

A beret was also ordered, which is being modelled by Anne-Marie.

Classic white cardigan

Modelled by the lovely Sophia

Also modelled by Peggy Sue

This cardigan is for sale and available to purchase.

Another cardigan, this time in a pale blue.

Modelled by Sophia

and by Peggy Sue.

This cardigan is SOLD.

I knitted Peggy Sue a cardigan with a variegated blues and light purples.  She can be seen wearing it in the Pinball post and at the Summer Picnic posts.

I have also knitted a lovely turquoise cardigan but that is waiting on some buttons.

In preparation for the Sasha Festival next year I also have a project underway for my hostess gifts - I am being positive in that I am planning that I WILL be pain free enough to go.

Because knitting might be irritating my thumb I thought I would do some sewing and as I had sold the last of my Kiwiana Summer Beach shorts for the Gregor boys I thought I would make some more up.  I have made 14 different pairs of shorts!

Henry is modelling a couple of pairs.

These are the rest.

They are all available to purchase, either through my Etsy Shop, or direct from me (at a slightly reduced rate if happy to pay via paypal using 'friends/family' payments).  My email address is on my For Sale page :)
