Beds & Bedding

Or rather the lack of bedding!

Beds are on our mind at the moment....especially mattresses and bedding.

We have had this fabulous Migros (I think that is what it is called?)  bunk bed for several years now, and it still doesn't have any mattresses or bedding!

The boys don't think it looks very comfortable like it is.

They try it out.

What's your opinion Caleb?

Well it is okay to sit on...but I wouldn't want to have to lie on it all night, it is a bit hard!

We have a hospital bed.

It is wire sprung.

It did come with a mattress fortunately

Some bedding was made for it.

And it has been put to use on occasion!

You can read about it here: Hospitalised.

Peggy Sue has her bed - she tried out several before she finally settled on this one.

It is fairly simple, but vintage and she likes it.

I had to make a mattress, a pillow, some sheets, and have made a couple of patchwork quilts for it.

Lastly we have another larger bed that has also been here for a number of years but needs a mattress and bedding.

This vintage bed has a wire base.

Lewis tries it out for size.  It is the right length...

But the head board looks mighty tall compared to him!

Of course it may look better once it has a mattress and bedding on it.

It remains to be seen if it will be right for Lewis.

Beds!

So it looks like I have a bit of work ahead of me.  Three mattress and bedding to be made.
