Caleb is a handsome lad and looks great in these colours, although perhaps a little warm now for this sunny weather we have been having.

Advent 2017 - Day Twenty Four: Christmas Eve.

I think you should open the Calendar today Peggy Sue.  Henry tells her.

Oh are you sure?  Peggy Sue asks.

Absolutely.  Henry replies.

Peggy Sue looks for the final door.

It is in this top corner. She says.

Peggy Sue opens the door.

Goodness, I wonder what this is?  Peggy Sue says.

Oh open it please Peggy Sue.  I can't stand the suspense!  Henry tells her.

Oh my goodness!  Peggy Sue gasps.

Look, it is a ghost pirate!

I think he must go down here.  Peggy Sue says as she puts him on the rocks in front of the cave.

The scene is complete!  The pirate actually glows....IF we had known we needed to triple A batteries.  So we will have to show that after Christmas now!

The gang wish you a very Merry Christmas!

Advent 2017 - Day Nineteen

The boys made sure they were up bright and early this morning to avoid any more mishaps with the opening of the Advent calendar.

Caleb is excited about getting to open the door again.

It doesn't take long to find door number nineteen.

He sits down with the little package with the boys looking on eagerly.

Well open it then.  Donny says.

I will...you made us wait yesterday.  Caleb replies.  I want to savour the moment as well!

Oh, little weapons.

This Pirate is building up quite the weapon store!  

He must be preparing for a battle perhaps?

I'm going to put them down here for now.  Caleb tells the boys.

Woe betide anyone who tries to invade the island!

Advent 2017 - Day Eighteen

Donny is looking at the Pirate scene...something is wrong!

Ah yes...I have to tell you about this.  Henry says.

What?  Caleb asks.

Well it seems Peggy Sue discovered the littlies had been getting a bit carried away with opening the doors.  Henry tells them.

What do you mean?  Donny says waving his arms in horror.  It was MY turn to open the doors - it has all gone wrong!

There there, never mind, you can still open the door today.  Henry reassures him.  

See if you can find door number eighteen.

Donny looks.

It is down here.  He says as he gets down on the floor to open it.

Well what do you have?  Henry asks.

Give me a chance.  Donny says.  I want to savour the moment, in case those rascals spoil it.

They won't spoil it.  Caleb says.  They just didn't understand.

Reassured, Donny opens his little package and finds a skull and some other bits and pieces.

He puts them together.

It is a skull on a pole.  He tells them.  Perhaps to warn off intruders.

It can go down here near the entrance to the cave.

Advent 2017 - Day Ten

The area surrounding the Advent calendar is a hive of activity this morning.  

Thomas is excited that it is finally his turn to have a go at opening a door.

He has a look to see if he can spot the number ten.

Here it is!  He cries.  It is a BIG door as well!

Caleb comes over to have a look.

Rory is oblivious to it all as he is absorbed in playing with the scene whilst watched by Henry and Gwilym.

Look, I wonder what is in here?  Thomas holds up the package to show the boys.

Rory suddenly realises what is going on and gets up to have a look.

A fishing rod and some fish - cool!  Thomas says.

Now the pirate and seagull won't go hungry.

Thomas gets down to set up the fishing rod where he thinks it should go.

Looks like the pirate might be cheering and watch out that seagull is going to take a fish if you are not careful.

Well that was good fun wasn't it boys?

Advent 2017 - Day Five.

Hi Donny, good to see you.  Rory says.  Do you want to open the door today?

I sure do!  Replies Donny

Now where is it?  Donny says,

Aha!  Here it is.

Donny reaches over and opens the door.

Reaches in and pulls out the gift.

Strange item.  He says as the other boys peer over his shoulder.

Hmm...I wonder what this can be?

It must have something to do with the other little barrels that came with it.  

They look a bit like gunpowder drums.  He says as he puts the items down on the scene.

He looks down and ponders.  Perhaps all will be revealed another day.

For a canon perhaps?

Rory wants to stay and play awhile.  Donny, Henry and Edward discuss the possibilities of what might be next.
