A Very Creative April

A busy creative April.

I made:

Three dresses, one for Madeline, and two for Wren.

11 pairs of shorts for Gregor (two of which are for Henry, the rest will be going in my Etsy Shop when it reopens.  When that will be I don't know, it will be when it is safe to go to the Post Office, at present I am not allowed to as per my letter from the NHS, I can't go to any shops)

Four reversible waistcoats (again two for Henry)

One pair of shorts for Howard Bear.

16 Tiny Rag Dolls and numerous dresses, pantaloons and aprons for them. (Some of these will be going in my Etsy Shop when it re-opens)

Only 15 dolls here as one went to her new home, my neighbour, just after I made her.

One cat
One guinea pig
Four bears.

Timothy (in the middle) is the only one with a name yet.  The floral bear was made with a tea towel I had been keeping for 'something special' and is made from a pattern I used to use when I made soft toys to sell in my Dad's shop when I used to live in NZ.  I didn't have any fur fabric to make him with fur so thought it would be fun to try something different and was pleased with how he came out, especially as it has been over 25 years since I have used this pattern!

I especially love this little bear I finished today.  He has a certain air of innocence about him.

Next month I'd like to finish my Hitty I am carving...she has been sitting on my desk patiently waiting for me to finish her...

I also need to make the dress for Caroline,  my Gail Wilson doll I made.

Gregor - The Twins

James and Connor are of course Identical Twins, and as such always wear the same clothes, but usually have different coloured buttons which they insist on so that people can tell them apart....

No one has told them that the different colour buttons aren't strictly necessary of course...

and anyway they wouldn't believe them because of course they are identical!

Sewing Shorts

I've started sewing for my Etsy shop for when I can reopen it once I can go out and post parcels...which won't be for a while yet, but worth being prepared.

Wednesday 15 April 2020

Gregor - Caleb

Caleb is a handsome lad and looks great in these colours, although perhaps a little warm now for this sunny weather we have been having.

Tuesday 14 April 2020

Gregor - Rory

Rory is my frog loving boy, and he is delighted with the pond at his new home.

He is often seen sitting by the pond, watching the tadpoles surrounded by his froggy friends.

Not sure what Kermit finds so funny?!

He agreed to pose for a photo wearing his favourite waistcoat

Which has frogs on of course.

I'm not sure if he has let one of the toddlers near his fringe, as it doesn't normally look 'crooked' like it seems to today!

Gregor - Henry!

I've decided I am going to alternate a week of girls, then a week of boys...and so on.

So starting this week off, it has to be Henry of course, who will be well known to most (if not all?) who visit my blog.

He was pleased to get a new pair of shorts today which he deemed perfect for wearing when you live by the sea.  He has been watching a Condor Ferry going past this afternoon.

I caught him just before he headed off to what he now calls 'his' rock to watch.

My lovely Henry.

Sunday Sasha - Everlee Rose Morgan

Everlee Rose Morgan is one of my most favourite Sashas, and one who gets to explore a bit more than some of the others.

She kindly posed for a photo before she did some exploring in the garden this beautiful Sunday,

She is busy looking for wildlife on the bank.

Later on she is found sitting by the pond admiring the bluebells.

Happy Easter

Peggy Sue helped paint some rocks yesterday as we can't go out to the shops to get an Easter eggs.

I got up VERY early today and dropped them off along our road in the hope that they might bring a smile to whoever finds them.

Happy Easter Everyone.  Stay Safe.

Saturday 11 April 2020

Sasha - Victoria

Victoria arrived in 2012 mint in her tube still smelling like new!

A very beautiful blonde Sasha - but then aren't they all?!

Friday 10 April 2020

Sasha - Monica

The beautiful Monica, wearing a lovely dress she received in a Christmas Swap one year from Ginger.

She looks fabulous in red.

Thursday 9 April 2020

Sasha - Weaver

My gorgeous 1968/69 Side part, Weaver who I collected from my friend's house just before the first USA Sasha Festival I went to.

I think this outfit really suits her and brings out her beautiful colouring.

Wednesday 8 April 2020

What is everyone else doing?

Peggy Sue among the flowers.

She has found herself a nice place to sit.

Nancy with my Christmas cactus putting on a good show of flowers.

Bellamy just wandered around the garden yesterday.

Today he wandered to the beach...

~~~~~~~~
Daisy has been helping me bake.
My trusty Edmonds Cookery book.
Delicious Scones.
I think she is hoping to eat the one nearest her right hand!
We also made a large batch of shortbread.
